Hello

I am from Mexico City, and bought a year ago a drum of 82% sodium chlorite which is a white powder like white sugar, it is not in flakes form, when I tried to make my own MMS 1 I followed Jim Humble´s instructions but the sodium chlorite was'n't dissolved at all in the warm distilled water, the solution remained not clear and after all night reposed it had some sediments at the bottom that are not more dissolved in the water. The final solution is lightly yellow. I have the next questions:

1. The Chineese product is trustly?

2. How can I be sure that it hasn't any other chemicals?

3. How can I Know that this product is not dengerous?

Thanks a lot for your attention and I hope you to understand me, my english is not very good my native language is spanish.

paul Offline Platinum Member Posts: 618 Thank you received: 670	Hi, rafitatmxmms. Your English is better than my Spanish, and quite understandable. For sure there are 18% other things than NaClO2. The only way to know is to do a chemical analysis. If you make ClO2 solution in water, the other things are left behind. Here are some videos:

pam Offline Platinum Boarder Posts: 4593 Thank you received: 3702	When I make MMS, it comes out just a very pale yellow - I use technical grade sodium chlorite - but I do have to heat it over the stove, not just in warm water, to make it dissolve. You CAN let it sit and dissolve overnight, but it will have some of the same things you're talking about.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
