After being duly chastised for my misinformation on RO vs. distilled water (thanks, guys) it led me to a question about water ionizers (which his where I heard the statement about not using distilled water!) and I am wondering whether ionized water is useful in any way with MMS. I know you are supposed to use distilled (or RO) water, but does ionized water play any part in any of this, good or bad? I use it for drinking, coffe and green tea making, cooking, etc. It has improved several areas of health for both my husband and I and several friends, but should I avoid it for drinking the MMS, due to its higher alkalinity or does it matter?

Hi Shayley!
That's a really good question .Since ionized alkaline water is an antioxidant and R/O or distilled are oxidants (measured by ORP),I wouldn't use ionized water with mms .
I came to conclusion that we need oxidants (not free radicals )just like antioxidants, only taken apart from each other .
From my understanding ionized alkaline water molecule has one extra electron to spare so is an electron donor ,where free radicals are electron stealers .Mms is also an oxidant ,it seeks electrons and takes it from pathogens (not affecting organ tissue).
So ionized water may deactivate mms, just like vitamin C does which is antioxidant.
Distilled water for instance, is great for kidney flush but it shouldn't be taken for to long in large quantities . It helped me a lot in the past along with proper diet (I had proteins in urine and doctors couldn't figured it out were it's coming from)
I think that moderation is the key
I have an Ionizer and I love it. My kids love to drink this water and we don't buy bottled water any more .Make sure your Ionizer has proper filter .Good quality unit has a filter in it at least 0.1 micron, not a regular carbon filter (0.5microns) .The best I know 0.01micron But have to be changed more often .
I hope it answers your question.
