Tonight on the local news, the Innovation Center at the University of Florida had a representative on the show who was interviewed about a new process of safely creating Chlorine Dioxide so that it could be used 'even in a small bottle like a windex bottle.'

The man said that CD was completely harmless and they expect it to be used in hospitals and any other place where germs are found. He said that as it is totally safe, it will be much better than anything currently available because (as we know), it kills every microbe known to man. LOL

I had to laugh. They didn't go into detail about the process in making CD but he said that it is an unstable gas and could be dangerous. However, their new process using some sort of 'filtering' protocol, is very simple and makes it 100% safe.

The summary of the article is copied below:

Tens of thousands of people go to the hospital every year... and die after they are infected there.
One very effective way to kill that deadly bacteria is to clean with chlorine dioxide.
As a gas, however, the chemical compound can be unstable and dangerous.
Ian Knapp of Tech Development, LLC explains to TV 20's David Snyder how research started at UF is making a way to make chlorine dioxide so safe, it can be used in a windex bottle.
