It definitely works - I just experimented by putting 500ml of distilled water in a 700ml plastic jar with a screw top lid, activated 10 drops of sodium chlorite with 10 drops of citric acid in a small wine glass, sucked it up in a small plastic syringe and dropped the syringe into the jar.

The syringe floats to the top so no need to worry about how to get it out later.

I left it at room temperature for 3 hours & just went back & tested it - close to 50 ppm.

I used a jar instead of a bottle only because of the neck size - I didn't want to cut those little tabs off the sides of the syringe.

Damn - I love this forum!

I have been away a bit and have not had a chance to read or post.

Roy - you have really impressed with your out of the box thinking!

This is such a neat method of CDS manufacture. I am off to the kitchen right now to try this!

The setup and formulation makes this possible for most to try this indeed.

Will be following results here...

johanson Visitor	I made CDS also alone tonight in this procedure.splendidly simple….. because her all really good closed is not none loss.Given am 12 drops NaClO2 and 12 drops of 50 % of acid in 3 dcl of distilled water. this morning I added still 7 dcl waters, I have 1 litre now. How many ppm are these, someone helps me to answer this question easily.

johanson Visitor	or there in my case (above) to go 12 drops made CDS equal strength as if bi consumed 12 drops of MMS activated with acid and stirred with water?

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
