My experience with MMS is to be cautious around areas in your house that have Calking. Like your kitchen sink and shower. Calking is ammonia based and that may be the reason you have such a quick reaction especially in the shower:) . Ammonia and Chlorine is toxic. Make sure your house is well ventilated.

I also have reaction to 1/8 of a capsule but only after the third or fourth dose so I feel it is the toxic chemicals in my body. I had metal fillings in my teeth for years that I have had removed also I have 2 gold crowns and 2 porcelain crowns that cover stainless steal. Do I need to change them as well?

I got my Calcium Hypochlorite at the pool supply and I just ordered some on line that says Contains No Dye No Heavy Metals Dissolves. Maybe what I am taking is not a good brand. I should get the clean one this afternoon and tomorrow I hope there is a difference.

Good luck to us all.

"A number of years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD. That has long, long since passed, but I used to get panic attacks which always made me need to hyperventilate. "

Im addressing your above statement...

Are you sure the PTSD is gone?
I would also ask under what circumstances did PTSD occur? You dont need to tell us all about it but I will say that if your stress was induced during an event that coincided with toxins entering the body, it is fully possible that when those toxins get stirred up it will stimulate the stress from the initial event again.

Since breathing is associated with the event for you I would look into Breath release work... such as Rebirthing... I have seen people release huge amounts of toxins from their lungs with this work. You could smell it and I had to open windows for the smell of old drugs coming out was pretty extreme.
Could the MMS be kicking up these toxins and stimulating panic?

I very much appreciate the response.

That is an interesting theory, but I will say that I've felt all my life that my body has been burdened by a lot of toxicity. Obviously everyone has it to some degree. But besides that, I do know for certain that breathing difficulty is my number one cause of panic attacks. I'll feel panicky if I'm not getting enough air or if I even think that I'm not, and that makes me need to breathe heavily. I must say I'm very interested in this "Rebirthing." I looked at it for just a second on Wikipedia and already I feel that I could benefit greatly from it. After thinking about it more, I'd be kidding myself if I said that I'm completely free from the detrimental issues of my past. It wasn't just one event or small series of events, it was a year-long relationship that obliterated my mental/emotional well-being at the time. Ultimately it provided me with the spring force I needed to begin my spiritual awakening which I'm ever grateful for, I just wish I hadn't let myself be victimized by someone for so long. Anyway, it sounds this sort of buried trauma can be mitigated by this rebirthing practice -- no? I'll definitely look into it. Thanks again.

Oh, and thankfully I'm not having such problems with MMS2 anymore. I started over with a tiny amount and now I'm doing near-half capsules without much difficulty. A question for anyone: When you take MMS2, do you find yourself belching some sort of gas that smells/tastes like the stuff? I could only imagine that it's normal. It's not unpleasant, and I feel better after it happens, I'd just like to know if others experience that as well.

Today I switched back to 1/2 capsule as well. Yesterday 2 hours after the protocol I had breathing difficulties and ran to the kitchen and took a teaspoon of baking soda with water to alkalize and took all my vitamins and in 20 min I felt better. I don't feel my body can process a full capsule. Nothing wrong with slow but sure :)
All the best and thank you for posting your experience It helps me a lot.

Samzee, any time you experience a herxheimer reaction always reduce the intake of MMS by 1/2. Thus you would reduce the 1/4 capsule to 1/8th. But at this time I would suggest only 1/16th capsule until there is absolutely no reaction for several days and then go to 1/8th, make sure there is no reaction and then go to 1/4 and never go over 1/4 capsule.

It's an honor to hear from you, sir.

I did start over with only a few granules and worked my way up. Wondering why you said to never exceed a 1/4 capsule? Right now I'm doing half capsules just fine, and I'm over 200 pounds so I should be able to work up to a full capsule despite that I'm using 78% Calcium Hypochlorite. Thanks again for your response, Jim -- that really was a pleasant surprise!
