Dear MMS experts,

Please could I have a bit of advice? I have an abscess next to my anus - they call it a perianal abscess. It's the result of an infected gland, and presumably its outlet is blocked. In fact, just the latter on its own might cause the problem - it keeps getting bigger and bigger and is very painful, so it's clearly filling up with something.

I was put on antibiotics three weeks ago. That helped me not feel sick all day but did nothing for the abscess.

I've been taking MMS for 4 days now, but I'm new to it, so I started low and worked up. Today is the fourth day, and 12 drops, one each hour (roughly). Also two baths in 25 drops (doubly activated with twice as much 4% hydrochloric acid). Tomorrow will be about 15 drops over ten hours.

There's no improvement yet. Systemically, I feel fine, except for feeling fed up with being ill, just the abscess is still getting bigger and hurts. I can't sit down!

Am I doing the right things? I've continued to take the co-amoxiclav antibiotics they prescribed at the same time. Should I not? Should I be doing any topical stuff?

Please help soon! There's an appointment with a colorectal specialist on the 13th but I don't fancy being chopped up again.

Warning: Vaguely gruesome details!

Update: Literally as I typed the above, unbeknownst to me, the abscess opened itself up and partially drained. When I stood up (currently an entertaining gyration of some complexity), I realised I was wet with something. Investigation showed about a shot glass-worth of pus had been slowly leaking out as I asked for help.

I suppose what I do now is keep it clean... Any advice on the topic is very welcome.

You didn't day what protocol you are following, if any.
It's not one I'm familiar with based on your description.

I always suggest people follow Jim Humble's "MMS Health Recovery Guidebook".

That's basically "all" you need to do.

The baths are probably a good idea, too.

Results do generally take some time to occur, depending on the problem.

Hang in there.

Dear BillPopMMS,

Thank you very much for your response.

I've read the MMS HRG as you suggest, so I'm taking my lead from that. It's tricky because I get nervous and panicky about feeling nauseous. It's usually in my head, of course.

So I'm working to the idea that I want 8 doses a day of up to three drops a time. I'm sorry; I've forgotten what that protocol is called. Today I'm managing about one and a half drops at a time.

Bathing is great - very good for my composure. I'm using 25:50 drops MMS:HCl though I think I will increase that to 30:60.

One interesting thing is happening: in my right eye, presumably on the retina, there's an artefact. Just below the focal point, the shape of a tadpole with the tail at focal point end, head bottom right. It's as though I've been looking at a light, not particularly bright, then looked away - that delay when it normally fades away over a minute or so but this is persisting. The end of the tail is exactly on the focal point. I've never had that before. Has anyone any experience with that?

Low and Slow is the name of the game.

Most people don't even get nauseous. Usually you will get an upset stomach first.
Or just "feel bad" or tired. To get the higher ends of an Herxheimer Reaction you
usually have to really overdo it. Unless you are very sensitive.

I guess the higher HCl amount for baths is okay. I would give it a minute or so
to react, though, instead of 30 seconds. As long as it doesn't irritate your skin.
Testing with ClO2 and pH test strips wouldn't be a bad idea.

I have no idea what your eye thing could be. You should probably see an Optometrist
or Ophthalmologist.

I think you're right. No point trying to cram it all in before my appointment on Thursday. I'll stick at the level I'm at for a day or two.

I'll try to remember to update here how things went in a month or so.

sounds like what you are doing is working. I had a huge absess/cyst/infection (actually twice) near my belly button. the first time I was prescribed so many different antibiotics by different doctors that I wound up in the hospital with c-diff. Not fun but I did eventually get better using bovine colostrum. Anyway, the absess came back a year later and grew and grew and grew until I was very anxious and quite miserable in pain and then suddenly burst and drained. What relief! At the time I didn't know about MMS and used turmeric both topically and drank a turmeric tea (called golden tea) that I read about online. It never came back. I wish you complete recovery without any further medical intervention!
