From a pharmacist I heard that MMS can hurt red blood cells. Does anyone have more information on this?
This is a concern since a friend of mine has acute myeloid leukemia and very low red blood cells a.o. due to leukemia.

Also I would like to hear from anyone who has leukemia (preferably acute and myeloid form) and has tried MMS to hear what the experiences are. Also if they are negative.

Your concern is normal when is a matter of life and death involved, but...
Did you ask the pharmacist how MMS is interfering with the production and life of red blood cells (RBCs)?
Did you ask him/her how MMs is working in the human body?
Did he/she offer you a scientific - medical.biological/chemical based - explanation?
If not, I guess the person has no clue what is talking about, just another washed brain serving big pharma. As far I know there are no studies showing such results.

A hormone called erythropoietin regulate the production of RBCs. Any factor that decreases the oxygen level in the body, such as lung disease or anemia (low number of RBCs), increases the level of erythropoietin in the body. Erythropoietin then stimulates production of RBCs by stimulating the stem cells to produce more RBCs and increasing how quickly they mature. Ninety percent of erythropoietin is made in the kidneys. When both kidneys are removed, or when kidney failure is present, that person becomes anemic due to lack of erythropoietin. Iron, vitamin B-12 and folate are essential in the production of RBCs.
IS MMS destroying the producers of RBGs? I didn't find any source tellig it.

Red blood cells contains hemoglobin, a molecule specially designed to hold oxygen and carry it to cells that need it.
As far I know from reading about MMS, it is not depriving the body of oxygen.

In addition of carrying oxygen to the cells of the body, the RBCs help to remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the body. Carbon dioxide is formed in the cells as a byproduct of many chemical reactions. It enters the blood in the capillaries and is brought back to the lungs and released there and then exhaled as we breathe. RBCs contain an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase which helps the reaction of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) to occur 5,000 times faster. Carbonic acid is formed, which then separates into hydrogen ions and bicarbonate ions.
I don't know how MMS can interfere.

I checked again with the pharmacist. Apparently there was a misunderstanding, but he does not recommend taking MMS in this case, since he finds it "aggresive" as it could (according to him) release toxic substances from out of the storage in the body (bones, fat, etc) and in this way cause a lot of stress. Which he thinks might be too much for this patient with acute myeloid leukemia, needing blood transfusions every 2 weeks with erythrocytes concentrate.
Would like to hear the opinion of other people about this.

Problem with a pharmacist is they sell medication and they run a business to them MMS would be a threat as they are associated with the pharmaceutical industry. Same goes with a doctor, if they foud cures for everything I'm sure the doctor would not have his job or be earning so much money:).

Actually, your pharmacist has not given you any "real" information - they obviously know nothing in terms of the chemistry. MMS doesn't release any toxic substances out of "storage" - that's not the way it works.

well Pam,

Acturally, our bodies do store toxins, otherwise we would have no need to take MMS and live healthier. MMS doesn't cure us. What it does is get rid of the toxins (pathogens), in order to free up our wondefully made bodies of these pathogen, so they can do what our bodies are made to in the first place, that is be able to have a fighting chance to heal themselves when something does invade our bodies.

So the pharma person was admitting that MMS does the body good after all and is doing the job it is suppose to do. He just doesn't like it is all. lol.

The end result of the action of MMS will be to oxidize pathogens by removing an electron from an ion on the pathogen shell. In that regards, it works anywhere it can get - in the blood, typically, or in the digestive track. It is non specific, doesn't just go to "storage" such as fat and bone - it is attracted to the first pathogen with a lower oxidizing potential than it has, itself. What then happens is that in the process of drawing back that single ion to itself, it releases 5 of it's own ions, thus depotentiating the MMS. What is left of the MMS is basically salt and water. The pathogen is broken apart into it's constituent molecules - which may or may not be toxic of themselves - which are removed from the body by whichever process the body determines is best - Sometimes people go for one thing to be healed and are disappointed because that thing is not handled right away - only to realize later the MMS was working on something else -

My idea of "aggressively releasing toxins into the blood" is a pharmaceutical that literally goes into the storage sites (which in the human body are typically fat and bone) and causes toxins to be expelled from those sites, or interacts with the toxins in a cumulative way to form other toxins, which is what the higher oxidizers do - and I'm sure the "going into the storage sites and expelling toxins" is not the exact process, either - but the pharmacist "dumbed it down somewhat" so you could "understand it" - OR, he got caught up in the whole MMS scare stuff, which the pharmaceutical industry puts out, and is repeating their verbiage.

willemien,

I think, that no matter what you are using, be it MMS or CDS or diluted hydrogen peroxide therapy
or any number of other ways to help get healing, that we need to give the body the nutrients it needs!

We eat too much processed foods...we need to keep that up front!

Because we may very well be able to nuke a bunch of pathogens......but in time ,those things could come back to haunt us if
we don't keep an active lookout for other supplements to take to help the body help itself!

For instance last night, I found out about the french doc and his sea water helping folks around the world many many years ago, and I found out about how important it is to take a copper and zinc supplement too.

Just saying to keep eyes and ears open for other considerations, and other options to improve overall well being! And not to rely on a magic bullet alone!

kw
I recently came upon MMS and FGHP therapy at the same time. And NOW more recently, I stumbled into old therapies, like turpentine!
And I always support peoples right to choose whichever therapy they see fit to take!
augmentinforce.50webs.com/Turpentine%20Therapy.htm
youtube- daniels, why turpentine is good for your health most excellent info with instructions and warnings for proper preparation prior to using turp should you choose to do so.
diamond g in georgia was the best turp I found.
