CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME? IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE CURED COMPLETELY OF HSV1 AND HSV2 RECEIVING A NEGATIVE PCR, DNA TEST RESULT, HOWEVER STILL HAVE ANTIBODIES IN YOUR BODY SHOWING UP ON ANTIBODY TEST? IF SO, CAN YOU PASS ON ANTIBODIES TO YOUR PARTNER?

It's my understanding that antibodies are produced by the immune system and remain long after the pathogens are gone. I'm aware that nursing mothers pass antibodies to their babies so I guess it's possible they could be transmitted in other body fluids. Antibodies are not a problem, just an indication that your immune system has had to deal with pathogens.

but if you pass on the antibodies wil you be passing on the disease as well?

Antibodies are made as a response to the a particular pathogen. They are not the pathogen, just an indication that a pathogen is or was present in your body.

My question to my fellow MMS-ers.

Should I have the IgG test (antibody detection test) OR the PCR (pathogen detection test) OR should I have both test for HSV?????

I was researching this very topic last night and found a woman on this forum who rid her body of HSV2 in 3-4 weeks on a particular MMS protocol along with a very alkaline diet. She explained she felt the PCR test is best as it tests your DNA, whereas the Western Blot test will show a positive test because it tests antibodies which will remain in your body for a few months. She writes in detail about her protocol and even provides her test results prior to treatment and post treatment- with a negative test! (I happened to copy down the lab she used: "Lab Corp." in San Diego, Ca. (800) 582-0077, if this is useful to you)

Thanks for the info.

I'm not in America so that lab is not available to me.
@Paul, paying for the test is not a problem. I have health insurance and can use different Dr's for the test if need be.
I think I will have both test and then re-test again with both 3-6 months later

That is my issue, if antibodies signify that the virus is or was present in the body that means that they can get infected as this is an infectious disease. It is was some other disease I could understand, i just dont think it is safe until the anti bodies are gone, not sure?

Antibodies are not the pathogen they are the response of your immune system trying to fight the pathogen.
If you had chicken pox in the past, then your immune system would have responsed to the virus and will produce antibodies.
However, after having chicken pox you are no longer infectious but you would still have the antibodies for it.
