Hi,

I would like to know if somebody here has managed to increase the concentration of Cl02 (CDS) from standard 3000ppm to 12000-15000ppm? Appreciate if you share your views. Thanks.

PS: The captcha seems like a harassment as it asked me several time for reverification even after successfully verified three times earlier. Maybe it is time to go for some simple user-friendly captch like cloudflare or other options like used by archlinux, imho to avoid harassment to the users of the forum.

Hi,

I would like to know if somebody here has managed to increase the concentration of Cl02 (CDS) from standard 3000ppm to 12000-15000ppm? Appreciate if you share your views. Thanks. Yes, keep replacing the reactor solution as many times as needed into the same CDS, to reach the ppm you want. I have made 24,000 ppm CDS using this method.

A few days ago I made 250ml of 6000 ppm CDS in 4 hours using the Quick CDS "Dry" method. Then added 250ml of water to then have 500ml of 3000 ppm CDS.

Thanks for the very useful input. However, the solubility of CDS in water reportedly is 3000ppm at normal ATP (atmospheric temperature and pressure). Is there any way to stabilize the solution at higher concentrations? Read somewhere that increasing the pH above 7 may help, but could not figure out how!

Is there any way to stabilize the solution at higher concentrations? Read somewhere that increasing the pH above 7 may help, but could not figure out how! That came from Andreas Kalcker and is not true. What he meant to say is that when making CDS as per his CDS making video (using my recipe) the most CLO2 you can get is about 3000 ppm. If you replace the spent reactor solution with new ingredients again, the 250ml of CDS can accept more CLO2.

I don't know what you mean by saying "stabilize" CDS? Freshly made CDS has a pH of about 7, but quickly drops when it contacts air. The same for freshly made distilled water. Caused by CO2 in air.

This makes sense to me and follow accordingly.

I meant is it possible to maintain the pH of about 7 by using any buffering or stabilizing chemicals like NaCl (0.9%) as described by Andreas Kalcker for CDI?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your time.
