Hello

I am in Kenya, Africa. I'm having trouble finding Sodium Chlorite or ready MMS/MMS1/CDS. Shipping from abroad (from US or Europe into Africa) is a problem because the products are flammable.

My question: There is an agricultural product I have found that seems to be based on the same components. They call it Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide Solution, trade name Biox 5000. It's used for, among other things, disinfecting potable water and washing vegetables. These uses suggest to me that it is not toxic (well ... toxic things are often presented as not).

The product is supplied in two containers: a 5 litre plastic bottle of Stabilized Sodium Chlorite (5000ppm) and a 155.2ml plastic bottle of Phosphoric Acid as the activator. The instruction is to mix the two thoroughly and store in a dark place for 18 to 24 hours. This sounds a lot like how CDS is made.

Any knowledge/opinions on whether this product is safe to use for making CDS in the way(s) recommended in this forum (Kalcker, @CLO2, etc.)? Please tell me WHY NOT rather than a straight "No, it's no good."

Could the stabilizers in the sodium chlorite be toxic?

(I continue to search for how to get MMS/CDS in Kenya. Anyone who knows, kindly help.)

My suggestion would be to order a quantity of 80% sodium chlorite flakes or powder from China or elsewhere. With dry sodium chlorite you can make sodium chlorite solution.

Miracle Solutions in South Africa ship international, you just have to send them an email first though.
They have a very wide selection of health related products including CDS, MMS1 kit, HCL, etc.

Thanks @CLO2 and @stu77000 ... I finally found a local supplier of 80% Sodium Chlorite flakes in Kenya. So I'll be giving that agricultural CDS to some lucky plants, or use it to purify some water.

I must say, the info on this website was very helpful in guiding me to the latest (easier) methods of making CDS at home, especially the Quick CDS method (with Citric Acid). You're doing a great service here, thank you.
