I bought some of the same brand Hydrochloric Acid for the fish in my acquponics system before and had no problem but that was only for the pH adjustment in the fish pond.

The new one I'm looking is this:

www.bunnings.com.au/bondall-5l-pool-acid_p0103921

The one I bought before is this one:
www.bunnings.com.au/bondall-5l-hydrochloric-acid_p0960235
It says for concrete itching and pool pH adjusting though.

I'm not sure if it's good for MMS activator. It contains 320G per Liter.

Jim, you would have to know the HCL concentration because you will have to dilute it down to 4%.

The MSDS says 10% to 35% concentration. I did not see if any other chemicals have been added.

This HCL is not the cleanest HCL you could buy. And, 5 liters is a huge amount of HCL unless you own a clinic and work with MMS or CDS. They offer it in a 1 liter bottle. The shelf life is about 3 years.

Be sure to take all safety precautions when handling such strong HCL and do not inhale the HCL gas.

Yes, I was searching food grade HCL but those online stores I never heard and reluctant to buy from them.

You are right, I didn't check the data sheet which says 10% - 35%, totally useless.

Hope you have some known good sources?

You could dilute high concentration HCL down to 4%. There must be some lab or other higher grade HCL available. Try looking on Amazon or similar website.
