Hello, my question is in regards to the density of HCL, and if the difference in density of HCL vs. water matters when using the dilution calculators. Example: 1 cup of HCL (or 8oz) is not actually 1 cup on the weight scale, 8oz of HCL it is less than 1 cup because it is more dense. So do I use the scale measurement (8oz), or do I use the measuring instrument (1 cup) when diluting HCL? I hope my description makes sense, thank you!

The density of HCL and water are not that different. If this bothers you, then you will also need to consider temperature as well.

I have never heard anyone bring up this question in the past 13 years that I have been involved in the CLO2 world.
