I can't seem to find in the MMS books I have and on the internet what different ways old or expired CD, CDS and CDH can be disposed of.  Is it okay to pour it out anywhere outside on the ground or flushed down the toilet or sink for instance?  What about putting it in the trash?

Thanks,

Travis

If you pour CLO2 onto the ground when the sun is shining on it, CLO2 will soon be gone, with only water remaining.

Best way to dispose of anything is to use it up, if not for its intended purpose, be creative and find a side use for it.

You can use it for a large number of cleaning/disinfection scenarios.  Reasonable quantities down the drain will help clean your drain lines and/or your toilet.  Unless it is a large quantity, it is long gone by the time it enters your septic system.  Or just set it out in the sun for a while, and the UV light will neutralize it.

I often set it in front of our AC, dehumidification, or HEPA air filters and let them pull it through sanitizing the mold/dander inside the units.  Works great.
