Hello, everyone. Yesterday I made my first batch of MMS, and I have a couple of questions.  If any experienced user would be kind enough to answer, I would appreciate it. First, when I activate the drops, the color is a pale yellow, not amber as in the videos.  I could smell a chlorine smell, but the color was very pale.  What does the depth of color mean?  Did I do something wrong?  Second, several people in the TUA videos said that the taste was horrible, but I didn't notice any strong taste.  (I am using MMS to try to heal an infection in my gums, so before using, I was concerned about if I could hold it my mouth for 2 minutes if it tasted so bad.)  This is another reason that I am worried that I did something wrong.  I rechecked my math for the HCL activator.  Everything was correct.  For the MMS solution, I used the proportions in the guidebook.  When I tested the final weight (the flakes plus the distilled water), it was about 10g less than it was supposed to be.  Is that significant?  I do feel some relief in my mouth, but today will be day 2.  I don't know if the relief is real or psychological.  As I said at the beginning, any help/comments would be appreciated.

Pale yellow should be OK, and along with the chlorine smell, confirms that you are getting activation. It only gives me that amber color when I am mixing up larger quantities like for non-internal uses. I use up to like 50 ml of each to treat my rain water system.

How many drops are you mixing? And, how much are you diluting for application?

As far as the 10g discrepancy, that depends on what the total quantity is. 10g off on 50g total would 20% and could be significant, but 10g off on 500g total is only 2% and would be far less significant. My opinion would be that 2% is close enough, but 20% is probably worth starting over.

Hope that helps. I never really know how deep in the weeds to go.

Also, are you just holding it and spitting? Or, are you swallowing it?

That could explain the taste part of your question. It seems to me that the undesirable taste is after swallowing, and for me, it only starts to get repulsive at 3 drops or more and is much less repulsive with HCl than Citric Acid.

Lets say if you do 3 drops of MMS versus 1 drop, you will absolutely notive a darker tinge to the 1 drop of MMS. It really comes down to the depth of it. The more MMS the dark it becomes. When I drop 3 drops into a larger glass base, you wont often even be able to see if. Always wait 30 sec then dillute with about 4oz of water and you will taste it.

correction. you will notice a darker tinge in with the more activated drops due to the depth or density of the drops. Essentially the thicker the liquid, the darker amber.
