Some authors of ebooks want their books to be given away for free, such as Hulda Clark. She passed on to the next life a few years ago. The book you mentioned by Jim Humble and Cari Lloyd is still copyrighted as I have said. If you would like to contact websites offering copyrighted books for free, that would be great. Thanks!

The copyright holder needs to police their infractions. Most people do not. And it is worse now with the Internet. It can take a lot of time, work, and sometimes money, for lawyers and such, to stop THEFT of your copyrighted work.

Jim Humble (his estate) will keep Copyright (in the U.S.) on his works for 70 more years since he has now passed on. The books that are co-authored with that author still alive will be for her life and then 70 years after she passes. That is the general law.

It helps if people choose to do the correct and ethical and lawful thing and not support copyright thieves.
