Can rubber or silicone drain stoppers be used with MMS baths or will this cause a bad or unsafe chemical reaction with the MMS mingling with the rubber or silicone drain stopper?

Also, I thought metal spoons and metal cups are not good to use with MMS and do not mix with it so how is it okay for the metal drain cover in a tub to be exposed to MMS in an MMS bath for the length of a bath?

Another thing is is borax okay and effective to use in a MMS bath to get rid of chlorine and fluoride in the bath water prior to putting in your MMS drops?  If it is, how much borax do I use and and how long to wait with the borax in the water before putting in the MMS drops?

Thanks,

Trav

Silicone/rubber stopper should be fine, but I don't have an opinion on the borax. I think it is for reducing hardness in laundry soap. I am not aware of it doing anything with chlorine or fluoride, but if it destroys those, then it will probably destroy your ClO2 also.

Just say no to government water.

Thanks for your input on the drain stoppers. The MMS books don't really cover this topic of drain stoppers at all even though they covered many essentials for getting started with Protocols. I hear different stories. Some people say it's okay to put MMS in a bath with tap water that has chlorine and/or fluoride while others say that that one should use a water filter or put borax in the bath to neutralize the chlorine and fluoride because otherwise the MMS won't work or that it could create some harmful chemical combination with chlorine, fluoride or whatever trace poison is in the tap water. Seems there is no clear answer but only discovering through experimentation what works and is safe in this situation.

From Jim's Book:

"Full Bath

Note: For MMS baths do not use water with chlorine or fluoride in it. Try to find out if your tap water contains chlorine or fluoride; if it does, use a reverse osmosis water filter or buy purified water in large bottles. Another possible option is that many people say borax can eliminate fluoride and chlorine from bath water. There is much anecdotal evidence on the internet and some chemistry indicates that the boron in borax creates boron fluoride from the fluoride in the water. This is not a poisonous chemical and not dangerous to your health. A similar nonpoisonous chemical is produced from the chlorine as well. Use two rounded tablespoons of borax for a standard size bathtub. Wait at least 15 minutes after stirring the borax into the water, (cold or hot water is OK), then add your MMS."

I do want to add that MMS can wreak havoc on a septic system so some have stated that they neutralize it with baking soda (waiting a couple of hours) before draining their tub. I have no experience with this but wanted to provide it as a point to research for those that may be concerned.

When we use mms to purify water, doesn't it get rid of the harmful substances?
