@Thruthseeker

I like the information you share about your experience with Iodine.

I'm part way through Dr. David Brownstein's latest edition (5th)  of Iodine: Why we need it. I find I'll read a section one night then re-read it again the next night just to get a better grasp of the information presented.

A couple of questions?

1) What type and brand of Lugol's Iodine do you use or recommend for a newcomer that is just starting the Iodine journey?

2) What type and brand of Selenium do you recommend a newcomer purchase?

TIA,

JimH1954 in Canada.

PS, Last time we communicated I had low grade prostate cancer (confirmed by a biopsy) with no rush to deal with if it remained the same. I also have one over active parathyroid that calls for too much calcium. I just that would fall under the hyperthyroid definition. This February I had a prostate MRI done and that revealed a lesion slightly bigger than my thumb nail. Lymph nodes were clear according to the MRI. My Urologist tried to talk me into another biopsy which I agreed to. I knew it would talk a week for them to set up another biopsy and that's when I canceled it. I'm going to treat whatever the lesion is as cancerous but will not take any "Standard of Care" therapies. There's too many alternative therapies, diets, vitamins, minerals and nutraceuticals that work. It's important I get my microbiome into a healthy state where cancer can't survive.

Iodine is a very interesting and important subject. But to remedy your prostate you may be best advised with CLO2 Protocol C and especially daily Protocol R, 3 minutes holding warm 50ppm Clo2 warm water in rectum and doing Shank Prakshalana...
God bless You!

Started the R protocol of the new AK CDS Prostate cancer protocol again yesterday. The new AK CDS Prostate protocol also calls for Protocol E and diet changes.

Stopped all fruit juices a week ago and also went from two to one meal a day 6 days ago. Diet still will take time to wean off most or all sugars and carbs.

J. Crow's is a good brand of Lugol's. There are regulatory restrictions on how many bottles of 5% you can purchase at a time, it's one, so it's good to go ahead and place an order as soon as possible. They run sales/deals so I pick up subsequent bottles when I get their promotional email. There is nothing stopping you from making several orders in one day but I prefer to save the $5 per bottle. I also keep at least one bottle of 2% on hand as a back-up. The 5% bottles are 1 ounce and the 2% is 2 ounces so you can just buy the 2% and use more, usually the 2% is a better price i.e. two 2 ounce bottles for $31.95. We take 50mg per day so I prefer the ease of 8 drops over 20.

How do you test to make sure you have adequate levels of Iodine?

In Canada we don't have access to the Iodine loading test developed by Dr. Brownstein.

Would the patch test be a work around?

I see J. Crow is available on Amazon and Prime Days start tomorrow. (July 11, 12)

All the best,
Jim in Canada

We just do the patch test from time to time and will eventually drop down to a maintenance dose, somewhere around 2ish drops of 5% per day. We steer clear of physicians but are considering working with a lab to order our own tests, we only recently learned we could do that. For the patch test, I paint my forearm. Recently my wife had some brest tenderness originating from a small fibrous feeling spot. She painted the area, one drop per time no more than two times per day, for 5 days. The soreness was gone in 3 days and the spot by the end of the 4th but she did another day for good measure. There is no way we can know that the iodine resolved it but we have read about similar results from other women, several curing breast cancer by both painting and ingesting iodine. Those of us in the US are low in iodine, even our wild animals are having iodine deficiencies, the fertilizer and pesticide farming practices of the last 5-7 decades has been atrocious on so many levels. I imagine Canadians are in a similar position.

Iodoral is another popular approach but we haven't looked into any brands since we have been using the drops. Those that need to push to 150mg or more per day seem to prefer the capsules over drinking that dosage in drops. Another decent book is "The Iodine Crisis" by Lynne Farrow. In her book there are reports of prostate issues including testicle (scrotum) painting. Sounds kind of ridiculous but the body absorbs iodine through the skin so painting on or near the issue area has been mentioned in many anecdotal reports.

What is the function of the prostate? It produces seminal fluid so that the sperms come to the surface more "liquidly"... A man who has an enlarged prostate is in conflict, I CAN'T SEX WHENEVER I WANT-the brain translates this archaically into I can't impregnate a female. The brain dictates that more seminal fluid is needed in order to fertilize the female. In order for the prostate to produce more seminal fluid, it must have more cells - equal cells, equal seminal fluid, more prostate cells, more seminal fluid. The greater the desire for sex, the more new prostate cells will grow, the bigger the prostate and the more problems with urination. When you give your brain NEW INFORMATION that you do not want sex (affirmation), the prostate cells that have grown on it will die and be excreted from the body, the prostate will shrink and everything will be ok.
