Hi fellow mms users,
I've been taking the drops for three months now for stage 4 cancer (breast cancer in lymph nodes), I can only tolerate 1 drop/hr and even adding 1 drop of dmso causes gas and diarrhea and vomiting.  Now I feel very very weak, and wonder if this could be low potassium.  Does the chloride atom make a potassium salt, thus taking potassium out of the body?  Also, I did mess up and take too many drops and had constant diarrhea for a while, which also depletes potassium.  I want to continue the drops, but want this strange weakness to be gone first.  Any opinions?  I am now adding carrot juice and potatoes and bananas and coconut water to my diet to boost electrolytes.

I've never heard of ClO2 messing with potassium or anything else.

My 'guess' is the weakness is a form of Herxheimer Reaction.
Herxing takes a variety of forms -- manners and levels and degrees.
Here is an extensive non-inclusive list: mmsforum.io/goto/general/38011-symptoms-of-herxheimer-reactions#77503

Either you are very sensitive, and/or possibly very toxic, so one drop might be causing Herxing.
Since more than one drop causes Herxing and one drop of DMSO causes Herxing,
that seems to make sense.

The Herx Protocol in Jim Humble's "MMS Health Recovery Guidebook" talks
about halving the drops until the Herxing stops, and then going back up.
Is that the book and info and protocols you are following?
He also starts people at 1/4 drop and works up to one drop over a few days.

But everyone is different in a variety of ways, so you are supposed to "self-diagnose"
and decide if you should be going slower (or faster if you want), and react according
to what your body is telling you.

You could always try taking some liquid potassium, that I think is supposed to
be augmented with liquid magnesium. (not separate, but always together --
you should verify that)
Or pills.
Some foods (such as squash, spinach, cabbage, lentils, kidney beans, orange juice,
bananas, tomatoes, zucchini, or cucumber) are also high in potassium.

And it should (probably?) be taken outside the dosing period, an hour or two before or after.

You do want to ensure that your electrolytes and hydration are good if you have
diarrhea or are vomiting.

If you are using STEAM Distilled Water (adding drops to 4 oz / 1/2 cup), that can also
be dehydrating and mess with electrolytes, so you should hydrate well along the way
just because of that.

Remember that JH suggests you do not stop taking MMS, just modify dosing as needed.

And try to increase the drops when you think it might be a good time to try again,
and then reduce if you are still Herxing. (apparently some people never increase,
and maybe they are unable to take DMSO with it, too --- I don't know)

Let us know how you are doing.
I hope you figure it out and continue on your path to Health Restoration.

Nutritiondetective.com and Grant Genereux (find his blog with 2 free books!) would say: stay away from carrots, sweet potatoes etc.!
cream of tartar is potassium.

A friend got rid of her cancer and a big part of that was juicing loads of carrots daily.

I think I told this story before.

I had a Great Aunt (about 20-something or so) who got late-stage terminal cancer back in the 1940s,
I forget what kind, but even for back then it was one of the "not good ones", and her doctor told her
she only had a matter of 3 to 6 months or so, and to go home and get her affairs in order.

She immediately began eating a diet of raw (organic) carrots and clean water.
That is all she ate and drank, to the point of turning slightly orange.
She did it for some number of months, and her cancer disappeared.

She lived to be in her 80s.

That is partly why the McDougall "McVegan" diet is so good, because it is similarly
curative in that way and sense.
He has cured diabetes, cancer, MS, and a number of other egregious and "terminal"
illnesses by diet alone.
