DavidB Topic Author Offline Junior Member Posts: 33 Thank you received: 10	Can anyone advise where to obtain Sodium Chlorite and Hydrochloric acid in Australia? Obviously I'd like to make my own MMS. I have searched for Sodium Chlorite before with little success. I could only find sources overseas which were very expensive. Hydrochloric acid is available at Bunnings - but don't know whether it's suitable quality (presumably used for cleaning concrete surfaces).

You want to use "food grade" / very pure with no contaminates.
(some claim it doesn't matter if you are making CDS, but I tend to disagree with them)

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
