Are there any published studies on consumption and kidney function - I cannot find anything on the web? Thank you!

It probably partly depends on the reason for the kidney deficiency.

IF you are "toxic", and you pretty much absolutely are, we all are,
then cleaning out that toxicity can allow your body to heal itself
much or most of the time. That is how MMS/CDS works.
(where 'toxicity' can be viruses, bacteria, pathogens, poisons, mold/fungi, heavy metals, etc...)

I'm also a fan of "Can't Hurt, Might Help".
It's often amazing what MMS/CDS can do for you.

There MIGHT be some information you are looking for, but no 'official' "published studies".

Apparently, citric acid must not be used as an activator in kidney diseases and it is said that it is written in the american version of the book from 2019. Does anyone know anything about this???

I haven't heard this or read it anywhere.

But I always suggest Hydrochloric Acid (4%/5%) as the activator
for better taste and usability. The other acids are kind of "old school", imo.

Or try CDS. (fully pre-activated 'MMS')

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
