One of our dogs might have eaten some mouse poison, but we are not sure.   I immediately gave him 5 drops anyway.   Is MMS an antidote for this?

Be sure to check what the active ingredient(s) is. Then the recommended antidote can be found. The recommended antidote doesn't necessarily work better than MMS.

How is the dog doing?

Thank you!   We took him to the emergency pet clinic last night and they got him to vomit and found no trace of the poison so he didn't get into it after all.  It was in a hole between floor joists and cinder block in the basement.   My husband wasn't thinking when he put it there, but we're going to use boxes to put this stuff into today.  We didn't have the original package this came in as it was given to my husband.

So you're saying that the mms would counter it anyway - am I right?

I wish I could say so. Can at this point only guess that MMS may be  better than nothing. There are some real nasty poisons for sale and that may require their own particular antidotes for neutralizing.

I found a list here of some commonly used rat poisons. Unfortunately it will take accidents and experimenting to be able to tell if MMS can help any of this.
