According to the protocol 1000 you shouldn't eat 20 minutes before and after you have taken MMS1 because of a possible interference with MMS1, and what you eat should be very light. I find this a little difficult to do because nothing digests within 20 minutes, except a light salad with no dressing or raw fruit. Since I take 3 drops MMS1 every hour over an 8 hour period I have been eating sandwiches, soups, grains vegetables, and even meat. Now I worry that my MMS1 protocol may not be very effective. Can someone tell me how long it takes for the MMS1 to be absorbed by the body and if it is still effective even if you have eaten meat 20 minutes before a dose. I have been taking MMS1 for about 3 weeks now. (3 drops with 5-6 oz. water) I do feel the most effect when I have not eaten anything after the first 2 doses of the day. I get diarrhea but do not feel nauseous. It seems that progress is very slow when I do eat normally in between doses. (I have RA, digestive and esophagus issues) Maybe I am just impatient. However, I cannot go hungry for the rest of the day but I will not give up because I believe in the effectiveness of MMS1. Thank you very much.

If you reduce MMS1 hourly dosage to less than 3 drops, do you still get diarrhea? If not, then you are probably overdosing at 3 drops. Remember that P1000's recommended maximum dosage of 3 drops per hour is just that - a maximum. Protocol 1000 does not say you have to reach 3 drops per hour. Some people have recovered from cancer using 1 drop/hour and even 1/2 drop per hour.

Another question is are you using 4% HCL MMS activator or 50% citric acid?

Eating between MMS doses should only be snacks, not full meals. Do that after the last dose of the day. Meat can take a long time to digest, so I would not eat meat until dosing for the day is over. You can snack between every dose which should be sufficient.

Can someone tell me how long it takes for the MMS1 to be absorbed by the body and if it is still effective even if you have eaten meat 20 minutes before a dose.

I wish we knew the answers to those questions, but as far as I know, no one has funded such research.

Thank you very much for your info. I think I need to cut down on eating and snacking so much during the day. I feel fine the entire day with 3 drops/hour. I had started out with 1 drop/hour and increased slowly. Listening to my body the 3 drops/hour dose seems to be just right. The diarrhea, when I don't eat, does not bother me. It is very minor and it goes away when I do eat. The circulation in my left leg has already improved tremendously. I am now working on the other issues. I don't have any problems with going slow. I just have to figure out for myself what is most effective, and I think the constant eating issue is where I need to start improving. Thank you again for your help. Have a great new year. P.S. I take a 28% Sodium Chlorite and a 50% Citric Acid Solution from mmsforhealth.com. This company seems to adhere to Jim's manufacturing suggestions and seems to be very ethical.

Lentenrose, thanks for your reply.

Actually, Jim does not recommend 50% citric acid any longer and has not for some years. In his book he says the preferred MMS activator is 4% HCL. He also says if you don't have that, use 50% citric acid.

Many people have problems with citric acid, and it's horrible taste when used to make MMS1 is one of them. The other problem is citric acid bothers many people's stomachs. I would not be surprised if you switch to 4% HCL and you then tell me your diarrhea has stopped.

Most MMS vendors are way behind on Jim's latest protocols and those that sell CDS, I have not found one that has the correct dosing right when compared to MMS1 dosing. That is because when CDS first came out, Jim, Andreas and others said 1 ml of 3000 ppm CDS equaled a 3 drop MMS1 dose. What they forgot was that CDS is fully activated externally and MMS1 is only 10% activated and stomach acid did the rest.

The moral of this story is do not listen to dosing advice from MMS vendors. Even Jim does not discuss dosing CDS or CDH in his book, although at one time during the book proof-reading period, he did include my conversion charts, but they did not make the final cut.
