You would use 5 times the number of MMS drops if vinegar is used to "activate" MMS which should release some CLO2. And "activate" for 3 minutes.

If you want to produce CLO2 for external use, then this method will be disappointing. Using a real acid activator such as 50% citric acid or 4% HCL, the most activation you will get is 10% . The other 90% of CLO2 would happen if the MMS1 was ingested into a stomach with normal amounts of acids.

The chart shows mg of CLO2 for a 3 drop MMS1 dose. The maximum amount of CLO2 should be 20.1 mg of CLO2. Notice the amount of CLO2 generated by lemon juice which will produce more than apple cider vinegar.

For a maximum amount of CLO2 from MMS for external use, use CDS which is just CLO2 in distilled water. CDH would be the next best choice which will produce 50% CLO2 externally.

Thanks!

What do you think they do when they decontaminate houses after a flood?

I don't think they use cds.

Or maybe they do?

How would you make a vinegar based spray, to spray on a basement floor or a type of heavy duty all- purpose spray-on decontamination recipe....... or a little milder solution for crops?

To decontaminate a house with CLO2 I am sure they use an on-site CLO2 generator of some type. That would make CLO2 gas only and then it is probably blown around the house with fans/blowers. The house is also tented to keep the CLO2 gas inside.

If you want to clean a room, you can use a number of bowls with MMS + an activator placed around the room. Add MMS to each bowl and then add the activator starting with the bowl farthest from the door. Work quickly and close the door when the last bowl has had the activator added. Steve has written a paper or two on this subject. I would not use vinegar because it won't release much CLO2 gas from MMS.

For spray use I would use CDS.

The cheapest is probably muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) - it is not lab grade sold in hardware stores for cleaning brick and mortar. Since it is usually sold ~ 37% solution precautions must be taken as at that strength you can hurt yourself (wear gloves work outside to avoid fumes etc.) What you have to inititally do is reduce the concentration down (I think people are using 10% for making CDS) . Use an online dilution calculator for figuring out the volumes of distilled water to MA Calculator here

Citric acid is not terribly expensive and I've found it cheapest at candle / soap making places. It is quite safe to handle (in comparison to MA). You would be targeting making a 50% solution .

ClO2 might chime in as she has a lot of experience

Martin is correct, muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) is very cheap. And it should work fine for your purposes. You will need to dilute it to 4% if making MMS1 (as in activating bowls of MMS in a room) and 10% if making CDS. Most muriatic acid is 31.45%.

In this example you would add 100 ml of 31.45% muriatic acid to 686 ml of water to end up with 786 ml of 4% HCL. Be sure to add the acid to the water and not the reverse! Also do not breath the acid fumes. The mixture will get warm during the dilution process.
