I am new to the use of MMS and this Forum. I have been taking activated MMS since July3, starting slowly at 1/4drop per hour & gradually increasing to 3drops - so started the full Protocol 1000 on July10. I had been doing quite well on Protocol 1000 (as well as my Wife who started on it about a week ago). Aside from some headaches initially, I have experienced mostly positive changes - gradually increased energy, head clearing up (Brain fog reducing) and a rash I had on my back (diagnosed as Tinea Versicolor by my Doctor) was totally eliminated in about 1 week by using the MMS skin spray (10drops in 1oz water) on my back - sprayed about 3-4 times per day.

However, I have to report a serious concern that happened today. I had been making the 3drop hourly solutions using about 80% RO water & 20% organic Cranberry Juice. Yesterday I ran out of Cranberry Juice & could not get any more until this evening. I looked for another juice which we already had which contained minimal Vitamin C. The best one I could find was an Organic juice from Santa Cruz called Mango Lemonade ("lemon & mango flavoured beverage from concentrate") - it only listed Vitamin C at 6%, so thought it would be OK (especially since I was only using a 20% Juice solution - 80% RO Pure water). I was working from home today so was able to make up hourly doses - actually made a double batch every 2 hours (6 drops in 8oz & then split each hour). This seemed fine for me. However, my wife needed to go into work, so I made up a full days worth at once - 24 drops in a 16oz container. Then she was taking 2oz each hour & adding another 2oz of water each time (kept the container refrigerated between doses). When she got home she said that she could not drink the last 2 doses (had 4oz still in the container) because the solution was burning her throat. I opened the container to check it out - starting by smelling it - I took a good whiff & could not believe the smell - it almost made me gag it was so strong. It did not smell like chlorine, but was very strong - I have no idea what kind of gas was being generated but it was actually scary - I quickly took it outside & dumped it out in the grass & watered in a lot with our garden hose. It is now over an hour since I breathed that gas in & I am still reacting to it - it seems to be making my fingers a bit numb now & I feel a bit flushed (not sure if is just from getting a bit panicky about what that was & what it is doing to me, or if is actually a serious concern). I have been drinking a lot of water & asked my wife to do the same - she says her throat is still burning a bit. Obviously we are both concerned about what reaction occurred & what she was drinking & I breathed in.

It is quite obvious now that this Mango Lemonade juice was a bad idea. We now have some more Cranberry Juice, but my wife is concerned about continuing with the MMS at all after this experience. Have you ever heard of anything like this happening before & any idea what kind of gas/chemical was created? Any thoughts/experiences would be appreciated. Neither my wife or I are feeling bad enough to go to the hospital & certainly hope it does not come to that, but is still very concerning none-the-less.

Thanks,
Kevin

I've been here for quite some time - I've never heard of your experience. People who mix with other than water have experienced - no benefit from drops (inactivation of the drops).

Since I've been here a long time - I find a straight 3 drop dose in water - taste wise - a piece of cake - we were originally doing 15 drop doses - 3 times a day! I do a 6 drop dose in water daily.

Please review why you would adulterate (with the best of intentions) a dose of MMS - with at best - only a almost negligible improvement in taste and certainly the risk of deactivating the MMS

From Jim's latest book:

The ideal way is to take your MMS1 dose in water only. But, if you cannot take MMS with water only, because the taste bothers you, some natural juices are OK if they do not have harmful preservatives and/or added Vitamin C or ascorbic acid, as this will cancel out the effectiveness of MMS.

Fresh juice is best. We have found apple, grape, and cranberry juice to work well with MMS1, but again, it should be natural, without preservatives and have no added Vitamin C (or ascorbic acid). Never use orange or tangerine juice in any form with MMS1. You may have these juices at least 2 hours before or after your MMS1 protocol for the day.

Try 4% HCL instead of 50% citric acid, if you don't already use 4% HCL activator, for a much better taste.

Thanks for your replies/suggestions. I am updating to state that both my wife & I are feeling better now, although I still have a heavy sensation in my lungs & coughing up some phlegm occasionally. After thinking more on what could have happened, I suspect that the juice I used caused the Chlorine Dioxide to gas off & since only had about 4oz left in a 24oz closed container, there was a lot of room for gas to build up. Something may have also happened to the juice causing a strong odor - it did not smell like the ClO2 when I first activate the drops, but maybe because it was so strong my senses/smell were off.
As far as the references to the books are concerned, I have already purchased them & almost finished reading each of them. I know it is best in water alone, but was just adding a small amount of juice (was using cranberry which has a strong taste, so does not take much to mask the MMS1 taste). To be honest, I have not actually tried tasting the 3 drops in water by itself - just with very dilute juice - so I will try that (with no juice). I agree that there was very little improvement in taste with the Mango Lemonade juice, but that was not the case with the cranberry. It was also a mistake because that replacement juice was from concentrate whereas the Organic Cranberry juice is not.
Anyway, I have certainly learned a lesson & will move forward either using just in pure water or with a bit of fresh cranberry which has worked fine for almost a month now. So far, what I have experienced (aside from today's situation) has been very positive & I am excited about the prospects for further improvements. My main issues I am hoping to address are:
1) migraines which I have been getting for over 35yrs (& recently at a rate of about 50% - approx. 12 days of migraines per month) - I am now on my 7th day migraine free, which is already unusual for me - it will be very interesting to see how it goes over the next month or so.
2) severely enlarged prostate (BPH) which my doctor insists will require TURP surgery to resolve - bad enough that it is requiring use of catheters (not fun). I have been looking for an alternative since I was first diagnosed in 2011 (have tried many different things, some of which have helped, but no solution yet) & am hopeful that I have finally found something that will allow me to avoid that procedure.
I am keeping a detailed diary of my progress & plan to post in this Forum what successes I experience over time.

Thanks,
Kevin

Some juices have added citric acid and that could have caused a higher-than-normal release of CLO2 from the MMS in the daily bottle. As you may know, MMS1 as normally "activated" is at most 10% activated externally . (Note that 3 drops of MMS {24 drops/ml standard reference} can contain 20.1 mg of CLO2.) The other 90% activation should happen in a stomach with normal amounts of gastric acids.

Would be interested to know your progress on migraine headaches as a niece has suffered with them for years, also.

Regarding your prostate, have you tried Dr. Richard Schulze's prostate formula ? Reports are very positive from those who use it.

CDS enemas may also help your prostate. Check out the douche protocol for hints on using CDS in an enema.

I have come to distrust all bottled juices, GMO non GMO, organic non organic makes no difference. You have no idea what goes in the manufacturing process, the amount of heavy metals, antiseptic products and God knows what else that seeps in the liquid and they use in the food industry. Try this: make you own fresh juice and let it sit for several days, and see what it tastes like. However these bottled juices sit on the shelf for months and never go bad in taste.
The only thing I add to my MMS solution to disguise the taste is a few drops of apple cider vinegar (with the mother).
I suspect something unnatural that's in the juice must have reacted with the MMS.

Thanks again for your suggestions & sorry it took so long to reply. Just a quick update... I have moved to just using pure RO water with no juice at all. I find with the 3 drops for Protocol 1000 & even after adding 6 drops of DMSO for Protocol 1000 Plus, it still is ok to drink (not great, but I have tasted worse). My wife disagrees & cannot drink without some juice, so have gone back to the Organic Cranberry juice for her - even at about 80% water, the cranberry has a strong enough flavour to help with taste. So far we have had no issues using the dilute Cranberry Juice. A few days into the new protocol I started feeling very tired in the afternoon & had about 4 days of relatively mild headaches (migraines). Also had a few days of feeling like cold symptoms - sneezing fits, coughing a bit, sinuses acting up - but only lasted a few hours each time. One thing I noticed regarding the migraines which I think is very interesting. A few times I was getting the familiar tension/pressure in my head/neck that tells me a migraine is building up. At that time in the evening I brushed my teeth with MMS1 & 3 drops of DMSO - also swished the remaining solution in my mouth for 3-4min before spitting out. I noticed that the pressure reduced significantly. I then repeated again about an hour later & the pressure reduced even more - I was able to go to bed with just a normal pain med & no special Migraine drug (Imitrex) which is very unusual for me - I have had this happen twice in the past week. Thus, although the migraines have not stopped yet, it is certainly a good sign. This is accompanied by an overall sense of increased energy (is growing now that I am past that first week of very low energy) & clearing of my head (brain fog).

Thanks CLO2 for the suggestions regarding the Prostate. I am kind of keeping those suggestions in my back pocket for another week or so - want to see how much this new Protocol can do on its own first - so far have not noticed much change on the Prostate. Regarding the enemas, I had already planned to do that fairly soon - I actually have a Colema board which allows me to perform a relatively good form of Colonics from home - so should be able to work with that even better. As with the other protocols, I plan to start out slowly with a relatively low amount of MMS1 (& no DMSO, as stated in the manual & logical to avoid in that area). Regarding your niece - as stated above, it is possible that just brushing her teeth with the MMS1 teeth protocol & swishing some there for a while may be able to help her as it has me so far.
