Second: Jim's rule of thumb is 1 drop per 25 lbs for animals. I do have the book and read over that section a number of times...I just wanted to make sure that I understood fully what I read.

Also, the book doesn't really address using dmso for respiratory infections with dogs...what is the dosage for that used by itself or mixed with mms? If applied topically on her throat would that help? ...again referring to my 13lb dog.

Also....does anyone know what happens when heat is applied to mms?? or DmSo? Can I put dmso in a steamer?

The same or more for topical use but in the case of your dog, I think the hair would have to be shaved off because DMSO will drive into the skin anything it comes in contact with. I believe there is a section in the book for aerosol use, but doubt adding DMSO would do any good.

What is worng with the dog exactly amh1124? Respiratory problems is rather wide...

First thing to consider is what is missng from the animal's diet to lead to the condition.

I would not even try topical application. And the dog ain't likely to breath in fumes willingly (I love doing it when I open my CDS prep flask. Get to get it into the stomach - and for this I find plastic syringes work a dandy.

The mind is like a garden, if you do not cultivate it, you cannot harvest from it.
