I bought sodium chlorite in Thailand faily easily, i think i paid about $20 for half a kilo, so if you search chemical suppiers in India im sure you could find a seller

I bought , sodium chlortie and HCL from sri devi chemicals .

very good quality with good price , they also have borax , but

it is borax decahydrate technical granular from U.S borax inc .

with the formular NA2B4O710H2O . it is same borax i can use .

and also i am in mms mintense , i took 6 drops per night . i can put

this borax in my daily water , i try for calcium hypochrite , but they only have

67% and it is not lab , yet i could not find mms2 in india , pls advise me .

Masoomi, find a store that sells swimming pool supplies. Here is a "pool shock" bag photo showing the amount of calcium hypochlorite, Ca(ClO)2. This one has 68% Ca(ClO)2 which is okay to use, but try to find a higher % Ca(ClO)2.



From Jim's 2011 book:

In general, don’t use anything less than 68% pure, as the lower percentage products have clarifiers and stabilizers in them. But in a pinch, even those could be used, as chemical companies are not going to poison swimmers.

Hi thanks everyone for this info! I was just wondering if anybody has an updated list. I tried to purchase from the first store listed today - went to what I thought was their address in order to collect the order but apparently Google gives the wrong address and it ended up a wild goose chase. Unless I can get an Indian friend to make a bank transfer they won't do delivery.

I've also had problems with the other listed seller for the city I'm in as they only sell sodium chlorite in 1kg bags for quite a lot of money.

I'm thinking to try contacting the people in Varanasi tomorrow but am concerned delivery could take a long time and I also always worry about the quality here.

Any further advice?
