How effective or noneffective is purified water vs distilled water when used to make the citric acid solution. I image it's less important when used to make the mms drink because if you can use coke or fruit juices i imagine purified water would be o.k.
But would anything in the purified water effect the process of making chlorine dioxide when the citric acid alt is mixed with purified water and not distilled water? What i know is that when i make it myself the chlorine gas definitely gets created and tastes and smells like chlorine, so this suggests that chlorine dioxide has effectively been created, regardless of the fact that i used purified water and not distilled water to make the citric acid solution. How right am i?

It's all about the minerals in the water, as they bind to the sodium chlorite and the calcium hypochlorite and render the solution either useless or diminished. I would guess Pepsi, juices, etc. don't have minerals in them, that's why it works and that's why distilled is best and spring water worse. From what I understand purified sometimes has minerals, sometimes it doesn't.

Oh right, i would have thought juices had minerals etc in too. What do you suggest the best juice is witht he least vitamin c content... how about apple juice?

If you are making MMS1, CDH or CDS the gas created is chlorine dioxide gas, not chlorine gas which is not safe to inhale.

If available, always use distilled water to make the sodium chlorite solutions including the ingestion water. Personally, I would never use any sort of "pop" drinks.

If you use anything other than distilled water and are not getting the expected results, then try distilled water.

Distilled water should not have any minerals or anything in it that could degrade CLO2. There is no sense cleaning up water that might contain pathogens or fluoride when you could be using distilled water if it is available. If you live in the States, a gallon of distilled water from the grocery store costs about $1.25

Yes chlorine dioxide is actually what meant, I am also well aware of the difference, it's just that i missed that word out.

Things are a bit different in this country. Distilled water is expensive, it can be several pounds for a couple of hundred ml. It's not easy to get and has to be bought online (which isn't really a problem) If it's availabilty was like in America i would be using distilled water already ;)

Dave, that is a good question. If one uses juices it might as well not only taste good, but be good for you and not kill the CLO2, too much. That limits your choices right away!

About 2 years ago, for testing purposes, Pam sent me three bottles of an aloe vera drink made by a Korean company called OKF. At the time this aloe vera drink was being used to make an all-day MMS1 bottle and as I recall expecting the citric acid in the drinks to help activate the MMS (22.4% sodium chlorite solution). The three flavors she sent me were not supposed to kill CLO2. I never tested them, but maybe now would be a good time to do that.

Can you buy OKF aloe vera drinks where you live? These particular drinks are called "Aloe Vera King" and the three flavors are Original, Pineapple and Pomegranate. The ingredients of all three are similar and all contain sugar, honey, citric acid and of course, aloe vera; 30% the label claims. Size is 500ml.

You can search the forum for info on these drinks. Be sure to set the date range to "any date".

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
