CLO2 Offline Platinum Member Posts: 5397 Thank you received: 4262	Yes, it could. Try 4% HCL instead of 50% citric acid and even add a few drops of SweetLeaf brand Stevia to improve the taste. Another option would be to try making CDH instead of MMS1 because there is less residual MMS (22.4% sodium chlorite) in CDH than in MMS1. Be sure to use 4% HCL as the activator.

I was not able to find HCL cleanroom grade at a reasonable price here in Canada. See: g2cforum.org/index.php/list/mms1/29157-less-than-1-drop-mms?limitstart=0#48297.
I use hardware grade HCL and dilute it down with distilled water - it works just fine. You will be able to import 4% from suppliers in the USA but our Government makes you pay - so it depends on what you budget is (and if you're willing to encourage Governmental extortion)

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
