I don't have any experience making or using MMS3. Reading about it in Jim's 2011 book he says:

Step 2: I filled it with MMS (now known as MMS1)

which I think has changed again because later on he says:

3) Drop 6 drops of 50% citric acid into the same dimple. It will quickly turn brownish yellow. It first turns yellow then darker and darker until brown.

So, we have the same confusion on what is MMS and MMS1 due to too similar names. Jim's recent Ebola Protocol says:

Definition of terms, important to know:
► MMS stands for “Master Mineral Solution” this is the name of a mineral solution used to help un-well people recover their health.
► MMS is a 22.4% solution of 80% sodium chlorite powder or flakes (NaClO2) in water.
► MMS1 is activated MMS. It is MMS plus an activator; when the two are mixed together they produce chlorine dioxide (ClO2)

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
