Hi Gene,
I was waiting for the PM to get back up and running but my stepdad needs your help asap. I think he has hit his personal rock bottom and now is ready to accept that the medical establishment does not have his best interests at heart. He is tired of being told he is overweight and just to lose weight but he can't. He has calcified bursitis in his shoulder, arthritic knees and can barely walk, about 100 pounds overweight, and type II diabetes. He injured one knee so bad that he couldn't walk the other day and I started him on dmso gel, msm and vitamin c powder since the local vitamin shop had it. My mom and stepdad are the types that need to have the easiest route to get back their health. This is where my knowledge about what the full scope of mms (oxidant therapy) and msm/vitamin C/iodine (antioxidant therapy) and the differences of when to us each is lacking. I don't know if they could understand MMS and not be scared off by it and the hourly dosing. Yes, that might just be high maintenance for them. I will see them this weekend and need a plan because I do not want to seem like I am troubleshooting with their health, which I would be since I am not as knowledgeable as you and the others.
Please others chime in, I was just pm'ing with Gene about my dad so I continue on the forum...
I need details as precise as you can get so that there is no guesswork about what he needs to do. Including any specialized diets for diabetes and what signs to look for that his diabetes/inflamed pancreas is improving also any signs that he is going too fast beyond symptoms of diabetics, ie., any specialized warnings for diabetics who use MMS. Any weight loss would be great and would greatly encourage him that he is on the right track.
Thanks so much,
Emily

Hi Emily,

I think your Stepdad understands that it is impossible to lose weight without changing what he eats. There is really only one cause for becoming overweight - and that is excess consumption of carbohydrates. It is different for marathon runners and people doing vigorous manual labor all day, but most of us are sedentary people who can consume no more than 72 grams of carbohydrate per day without becoming and remaining overweight. 72 grams of carbohydrate is the equivalent of 6 apples - which most people would have trouble choking down in one day. Someone who is 100lbs overweight likely consumes 300, 400 or more grams of carbohydrate per day - and these are almost all derived from eating processed grains and refined sugars. Anyone can lose weight by simply eliminating all grains and refined sugars from their diet. Of course this is not easily done. Refined sugar is not only a poison which directly causes mineral deficiencies and hormonal imbalances, but it is also a highly addictive, narcotic drug. A side effect of sugar addiction is that it causes a craving for more carbohydrates. As Dr. Joseph Mercola has said "any weight loss program which does not take sugar addiction into account will ultimately fail." Wheat gluten and other wheat proteins such as AGC are perhaps even more toxic and poisonous than refined sugar, and just as addictive if not more so. It only takes about 3 days of total abstinence from sugar, and the cravings disappear. Wheat gluten stimulates the opioid receptors in the brain, and so giving up wheat products is much like breaking an addiction to morphine or heroin. The simple fact is, all overweight people are drug addicts - and this is why losing weight is so difficult. But the fact remains,it is virtually impossible to lose weight without eliminating refined sugar and grains from the diet - because they are pure carbohydrate, and the more you eat the more you crave.

It is currently believed that Type II Diabetes always involves an inflamed pancreas. This inflamation may be caused by a microbial infection, or it may be caused by a toxin - such as wheat gluten. Either way, MMS can clear up the inflamation of the pancreas - and in some or many cases this alone will resolve the Diabetes.

Refined sugar forces certain minerals out of the body in the urine, most importantly magnesium and chromium. Magnesium is essential for the production of insulin, and also affects insulin sensitivity at the cell wall. Chromium is essential in the metabolism of carbohydrates. Because of excess sugar consumption, many Type II Diabetics will be found to be deficient in Magnesium and Chromium. Since taking Magnesium and Chromium supplements are not part of the MMS Protocol for Diabetes I'm not recommending they be taken, but mention it only for purposes of edification.

For insulin to do its job in regulating blood glucose levels, it must find insulin receptors on the cell wall membrane. Proper, functional insulin receptors require than the cell wall be made from natural fats such as butter and virgin coconut oil - not toxic, rancid oils produced in a factory such as margarine and soybean oil. Diabetics are often deficient in Omega 3 fatty acids, and this may require correction before the condition can be fully resolved. Healthy fats and oils are butter, coconut oil, unrefined sesame seed oil, flax seed oil, hemp seed oil, non-hydrogenated lard.

In summary, any treatment for Type II Diabetes should involve elimination of refined sugar and grains from the diet, since these toxins are most likely what brought on the condition to begin with. The next issue to address is inflamation of the pancreas, which MMS can resolve in 2 or 3weeks. If not, then deficiencies of Magnesium and Chromium should be considered, along with elimination of toxic fats and oils from the diet such as margarine, shortening (Crisco),soybean oil, Canola oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, cottonseed oil.

Hi, I understand the importance of everyone benefitting from everyone's knowledge so I will just post on the forum. I think it is a little more complex than just saying start Protocol 1000 because as I research mms I can see how for some people with loads of ailments like my dad there might be trouble with straight mms. For instance, I read that if certain people are clearing their arteries from cholesterol plagues and do not have sufficient vitamin c then when the mms clears the arteries they may collapse due to the lack of structural integrity. I do not want to mess around with my stepdad's health in not knowing what I am doing. I believe mms is wonderful, but powerful and since I do not understand it fully would like these questions answered.
I am going to start my dad on vitamin c, msm, iodine and magnesium chloride for 2 weeks before I start him on mms because I want to make sure he has enough antioxidants in his system. How much of each should I work up to to saturate his system?
Here is what I have started him on so far:
Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) brand Nutribiotic: 1/2 teaspoon twice daily
MSM: 1/2 teaspoon twice daily
Iodine: 2-3 drops of Iosol twice daily
Magnesium chloride: 00 capule size filled with mag chlor powdered, one capsule twice daily
After I get some signs (what are these?) that he is okay to start mms then I will start him on Protocol 1000
How will I know he is done? Feels really good? Has certain tests that come back normal? The one older man with diabetes was on it 18 weeks. How did he know he needed to go that long?
Gene, I am almost done with Deadly harvest, do you have a good orthomolecular medicine/biochemistry book to recommend?
Thanks everyone,
Emily

Yes, Vitamin C is an alternative treatment, and Jim writes about it in his book in the area on heart issues. We can't really advise you on the alternative treatments that kill MMS, other than to say that they will do so, it will ultimately be your choice which treatment to use. If Gene knows of signs that the treatment you're suggesting is working, it would be great to have them here, since I know there are others who think in terms of doing a pre-treatment regime of things that are not on the protocol.

He only need to sleep 8 hours. You have 16 hours to play with your supplement and MMS. You can start early in the morning with your vitamin C and supplement, about 6 AM and at 6 pm start a more intense if you prepared him for two weeks previously doing 6 drops of mms one hours before going to bed. That way MMS clean the arteries during the sleeping time. IF is for Cholesterol that your want to use MMS. Personally it work better than all the cholesterol medication that I have in the pass. I already post my cholesterol test from October and Feb this year you can compare results.

I am happy to report that my parents visited this weekend and my stepdad watched some of the testimonies and has started taking mms. I will report his testimony later but his starting blood sugar level when he was diagnosed 2 years ago was 280. He has been taking Metformin and hopefully can taper off once his blood sugar goes down.
