I apologize if this subject has been visited before, but here goes...
I plan on beginning the CD protocol for my son (now 17mo), my husband, and myself once I am finished breastfeeding (my 17mo). I am going to actively start weaning him once he is 2, so i have a bit of time to collect info/supplies.
I plan on also doing the klacker PP for the 3 of us (hopefully my husband will go along with us), but we are a family of dog lovers...we have 2 dogs ourselves and live with my parents who also have 2 dogs. I am realizing the importance of also deworming them, and destroying their feces as well.
In Kerris book she briefly mentions that dogs should be on the PP as well...
are there any adaptions for dogs? and do they also follow the protocol for a full 12 months and then maintenance (as we plan to do for ourselves)? do ppl also do a mms protocol for their dogs along with the PP or is the PP enough? Also, what quality probiotics are recommend for dogs during/after this PP? how do i properly destroy their feces? is just removing the feces from the yard adequate?

TIA!!
Alexis

Just Kerri's book - Healing the Symptoms Known as Autism - available on Amazon or through www.cdautism.org -

And she doesn't really address pets. We have a mom who is a vet in Australia who was/is willing to share her knowledge to the FB group.

FWIW, you can always set up a "false" identity. FB doesn't like it, but it's REALLY obvious that there are a lot of them out there.

as far as destroying the feces - the reason for doing this, is so that your other dogs don't pick up parasites from them. What I do is clean it up as soon as I can, I normally follow them around and get it as fresh as possible.

Disposing of it - here where I live - I put it in plastic bags and tie them and toss them in my garbage to be picked up every week. There are also disposal things you can get - that you dig a small hole in your yard and then put it in there along with some chemical and it destroys it. There is a lid on the container, so it's almost like a septic system, doesn't take up much room. I don't have one, but I'm sure they work great. I get most all my pet items from mail order - Jeffers.com - or Maybe walmart , petco or petsmart carry them also. I've been having a lot of luck finding things that I need from Amazon.com and their prices aren't bad.

If you can't find anything or don't want to spend the bucks for one, you could just dig a hole in your yard and bury it.

Be blessed "G" ;)

Thank you glenda! I haven't checked the forum in a while, sorry. Been ordering all my supplies:).
We do poop patrols like every other day and do what you do.....plastic/paper bags into the trash outside that goes out weekly.....we have 4 big dogs and a doggie door so it's a little hard to keep up with but I was thinking once we all start the parasite protocol, including the furry kids, I would start monitoring when they go out, keep the doggie door closed off, and follow them and try to pick it up right after they go. I had visions of having to burn it or sprinkle DE on the spots where the poop waa....that seemed a little much to me....so I will just do as you suggest and pick em up as they drop em:)

I normally always follow my two around twice a day. But it was very critical when my female had what they call Guardia - they vet said that it needed to be cleaned up at once, to prevent the other dog getting infected as the parasite lived for awhile. Its' tough, but if you have to - you have to.

You know to be sure all that might still be on the ground, putting the DE on the spot would be a great idea. I just got my first DE and I have only treated part of my yard (their small yard). Will need to do the large one soon.
