Is it worth it to buy this book for the lyme protocol, or can I find the most recent protocol recommendations online?

Thanks Gene - so you think everything I would need is actually that list?

(Protocol 2000, Protocol 3000, bag protocol, bath protocol)

Have you read that book or do you know anything about it?

I haven't read the book, but there is no reason to doubt its legitimacy or the usefulness of its information. However, I imagine it's target audience is people who are not familiar with MMS - and who are unaware of all the information and resources here on this forum. I suggest going to the top of this page and click on "Testimonials," and learn about how other people achieved success with the MMS protocols.

The great thing about MMS is that it usually reverses the ailment in hours or days. Unfortunately, Lyme Disease may be one of those conditions which takes weeks or months for MMS to overcome. I recommend avoiding pharmaceutical antibiotics, which will likely only make the condition worse.

Here's an article which may have some useful information about Lyme Disease:

articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/08/04/Dr-Klinghardts-Treatment-of-Lyme-Disease.aspx

My belief is there are no incurable diseases. I also believe that the body heals itself, and there is no other healing. The best medicine is food, and if people were not malnourished - they would never get sick to begin with. People succumb to microbial infections because their immune system is overwhelmed, and their natural systems for detoxification become overloaded. When MMS kills microbes and purges out toxins, the burden on the body's natural systems are relieved so they can better do their job. But the reason the body's natural defense systems get overwhelmed is because of malnutrition.

With the typical American diet, about 75% or all that is eaten is toxic. The body's natural defenses are kept working almost to capacity simply detoxing all the poisons which are consumed as "food." If one is trying to recover from a serious aliment like Lyme Disease, a diet which reduces the demands on the body's natural defenses are necessary. This means no smoking, no refined sugar, no alcohol. No soda pop, no preserved meats, no fried foods, no pasteurized dairy, no un-ferminted soy products, nothing made from grain. Processed vegetable oils such as Canola oil and Soybean Oil, which are used as preservatives on most processed and "fast" foods, are highly toxic and should be avoided, along with margarine and fluoridated water. The diet should consist mostly of raw vegetables and fruits. A vegetable juice fast would be ideal. Freshly squeezed vegetable juice is pure nutrition, which is exactly what the body needs to recover from any ailment.

The recommended Protocol 2000, Protocol 3000, bag protocol and bath protocol - when taken altogether are pretty intense, but no doubt worth the effort when considering the suffering associated with Lyme Disease.

Iodine is an essential mineral in which most people are chronically deficient. Like MMS, it is a universal anti-microbial which kills all viruses, bacteria, fungus, parasites, etc. and also detoxes mercury and various other things. The US Gov's RDA is grossly understated, and the real-world daily maintenance dose is 12mg of iodine. A therapeutic dose is 50mg, and I think taking this as a supplement would be a big help with Lyme Disease. Iodine is an anti-oxident, so it should not be taken during the same hours as the MMS protocols. Virgin Coconut Oil also has anti-microbial properties, and should be added to the diet - at least 2 tablespoons per day. Magnesium chloride taken transdermally should also be helpful.

Wow thanks Gene. I do most of the things you mentioned already.

I don't tolerate the DMSO, so I wouldn't be able to do that part of the therapy. Is there something else I can replace it with?

For iodine I'm unable to tolerate orally but I do paint my skin with Lugols. I didn't know it was an antioxidant, so I'll be careful with that.

MSM is a form of organic sulfur which is derived from DMSO, and is available in pills, capsules or by the pound as a powder (to be mixed with water.) MSM has many of the same properties as DMSO, and is often used as a substitute.

Most people are deficient in Vitamin D, and the best way to overcome that is to get outside and get s sun tan. The skin produces Vitamin D from UVB sunlight. Do not use sunscrean, and do not wear sunglasses. Apparently, the UVB sunlight must enter into your eyes to trigger the production of Vitamin D. Virgin Coconut Oil is the best thing to rub on your skin after sun exposure.

I've read about several different remedies for Lyme Disease, but since it is a microbial infection, my opinion is the MMS1 and MMS2 Protocol 2000 will work - probably quicker and less expensively than anything else you could try. You just have to stick with it, even if it stretches out to several months.

Please keep us informed, and let us know how it turns out.
