Has anyone used MMS in eyedrops for Pinkeye in cattle? I haven't read JH's 2nd book, only have the old book.

Pinkeye is a bacteria - so MMS should work. It is contagious so clean up before handling other animals.

For oral doses the rule of thumb for animals is 1 drop activated per 25 lbs. I saved a cow with mastitis oral dosing ~ 20 drops twice daily mixed in soaked alfalfa pellets.

From Jim's second book:

Infection in an Animal’s Eyes
"Make a 4-drop dose of MMS1 diluted in half a glass of water and use
that in a spray bottle to spray the eye. The animal will shut its eyes
so it might be best to use a drop bottle and drop it in the eye and
then use your finger to move the eye skin to sort of work it in. That
should clear up most problems, but if the eye infection continues
after several days, double the strength of the spray and do it again."

Thankyou. I didn't know you could dose orally for cattle with mastitis. Was it MMS or CDS? And have you tried using it in the udder teats at all?

Do a search on the forum for "neula" , the cow I saved. Change the search parameters to "any date" as the search function comes up at a year or newer - this was happening in 2012.
