I burned myself (foolishly)by applying to much SCOTCH GARD outdoor silicone water shield to a pair of combat boots.
the boots were leather bottom and nylon cloth top. I should not have applied the spray while wearing the boots, but I did and now
I have a 3ed degree burn on my lower leg. The MMS 1000 protocal for burns are mms non activated, wait 5 min. and wash off. .
Some places where I drained the blister the skin is raw and the MMS turns it greenish gray. Is this normal??
I apply MMS (non activated) and wait 5 minutes then rense of the MMS. The color is my question? Most or the area above the
ankle for about 4 inches is very red with some blisters about 1 1/2 in diameter around.
I let the washed off area dry and have used some aloe gel to keep it moist.
I could use some help to know if I am going the right direction. I was told to break the blisters to let any toxen out.
Now infection is a concern. Does any one know about useing MMS on raw sores or flesh . Especially Burns in 3ed degree.
Is 2 times a day enought to keep out infection? I work but could take more brakes to apply more if needed. this weekin I am off so
I will be able to apply more. Thanks for help in advance.

I would not have popped the blisters, but that's just me. Blister water is not toxin water, but is water that has been drawn from the body to protect the inflamed area and theoretically can be acidic -. Typically it's reabsorbed back into the body.

The initial treatment would be MMS1 unactivated, for 4-5 minutes, then rinse off. That is to pull out the acids from the burn. After that, I would do MMS1 activated a couple of times a day to prevent infection, in the spray technique. Given that it's your feet (although hard to do this above the ankles) - you could do MMS footbaths.

Sorry to hear about the burns - don't we all wish the skin gun was available?

Thanks Pam, It seem you always come through for me.
I did go to a doc. this morning. The Doc said it was a 2nd degree not a 3ed degree burn, that a felow told me. I was relieved.. A few days ago I did the same protocol as you mentioned above.
It is doing better, the Doc proscribed Silvadene and I am going to switch over to it as I only have to change the dressing one
time in 24 hours. I will still use the MMS activated when I change the dressing. If a Doc was not near or available I am sure the
MMS would have done the trick. I am sure others will benefit from this. Thanks again. George
