How can I tell if the MMS and activator I am using is the correct approved MMS?

I am trying to get rid of my Asthma before the cold weather starts.

At the moment, I am mixing 12 drops MMS to 12 drops Activator and leaving it for 3 minutes then mixing with water in a marked bottle with 6 marks, then each hour, I use one segment and add some grape juice and drink

Now, most of the time, the mix does change colour to dark brown, but sometimes, it only changes colour to pale yellow, I always use a dry glass, so wonder if the MMS I am useing is the correct MMS as approved by Jim.

Any ideas would help.

Thanks

Did you get your MMS and activator from an approved vendor? Usually they're pretty good.

I'm assuming the activator is 50% citric acid? If so,you only need to leave it 20-30 seconds. If you are using lemon juice, lime juice or vinegar, you need to leave it for 3 minutes, and use 5 drops of activator to 1 drop f MMS.

With the 50% citric acid, you need only 1 drop of activator with 1 drop of MMS.

Many thanks Pam, as usual you are always on hand to give advice.

I bought my last MMS from mmshealthy4life.com.
Every time I purchase my MMS I usually have to find a different supplier as suppliers seem to come and go.

As I usually give my MMS away for free to people that need it, I usually buy a supply once every year.

I am using 50% citric acid so 1 to one, but sometimes it goes dark brown and sometimes it only changes to yellow.

If you're getting the different reactions from the same batches of MMS and CA, I'm not sure what's causing it. I know that there are different manufacturers of sodium chlorite out there - so if it's from different vendors, it's possible that the vendors have different manufacturers. (as a clue, some is flake, some is powder... before it's made into MMS) - if you have testing strips, you could test to be sure. That might be more than you want to get involved with, though.

This is one of the major thorns in my life! I've use MMS 1 for about two years. And, sometimes, I just get it to that yellow - or near gold color: and you can taste that it is more CA! I have always felt that I miscount the drops, and that causes it not to have the proper proportion. I've mixed, like 3 or 4 in a row and can't get it: then, I leave it alone, and come back another time and it goes just fine. I've mixed things up at times tho: put the solution in the frige: and had the citric acid in the cupboard. But, it really doesn't seem to be that. I think it's proportion: and possibly, when the drops are correct, they still may not 'meet' at the bottom of the cup I use. I use sundae glasses as they have points at the bottom. My opinion is proportion/ratio. Nancy
God Bless you all! Nancy

I believe what is happening falls into two possibilities, Temperature and Properly mixed MMS solution.

1. I have noticed that the sodium chlorite salts(mms) can acutally seperate from the water if not properly mixed when it is first made by the manufacturer.
If not properly mixed, after a day or two the salts will gather at the bottom of the bottle causing the top layer of water to be less potent. in which case, may have the appearance of a less strong yellow color.
Perhaps after your repeated attempts to recreate the brownish activation, you are actually mixing the salts around in the bottle and then getting the more potent drop out.

To assure that you are getting potent drops, simply swirl the non-activated MMS solution around in its container with the cap sealed for about 40 seconds to 1 minute. This will help disperse the sodium chlorite evenly, then proceed with the normal procedure.

2. If your cup was just rinsed with hot water and then dried, the glass will have some heat on it.
And also higher room temperature will influence the activation. In higher temperatures the activation of the MSS will have a stonger reaction, although I am not sure how susbtancial the effect of a slight drop of room temperture can have on the chemical reaction.

If the glass and room is very cold and the mss is not potent, it may result in a less strong reaction and you may get a yellow or light yellow appearance.

I personally use HCL Activator which is Hydrochloric Acid instead of Citric Acid. And usually get very strong activation in low temperature environments using a cup(cold to the touch). So it is possible that the citric acid may be a bit more sensitive to temperature.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dimensiondali,

Thank you for taking the time to help on my query.

I remember reading one of Jim's posts saying that the activated MMS should be Dark brown, so That is why I always check the colour.

I keep both MMS and Citric Acid activator in the fridge, as I have always done.

I then pick a clean dry cup or glass and put my drops in a swirl around, I know it should only be about 30 seconds for this mix, but I sometimes leave it longer.

In future, I will take more notice of how I mix it totry and get consistent results.

Thanks John

Many thanks Nancy,

So it seems I am not the only one that does not seem to get the right colour all the time, I will double check my mix each time now to see what makes the colour different.

Many thanks.

John

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your suggestions.

it could be that the MMS and Activator are too cold when I mix or matbe the glass or cup are the wrong temperature.

I always do the same thing, like pick a clean dry cup or glass take the MMS and Activator out of the fridge and add my drops, I am making 12 drops of each at the moment, then after it changes colour I add water to six marks on a bottle,
Take it to work and try and take one mark each hour and mix with a little red grape juice.

Thanks very much, I will post again when I can get the dark colour consistently
