Have pretty severe reflux at night....no heartburn, silent where acid rises into throat/mouth. Dx'd with Lyme disease 2 yrs ago with many symptoms (said to be longterm). Have noticed severe deterioration of my mouth tissue/gum health since. I also have an abscessed tooth that I have used the MMS protocol on & not sure how long/often to continue as it has now flared again. Will I continue this forever (using for 5 or so days at a time)? Recently began CD 8 hourly protocol & am up to 10 drops per day, will have to try CDS as it bothers reflux. I understand CD should help my mouth health, however could it be aggravating it? I'm seeing what looks like canker sores w/o pain (heard common for lyme) & the mucousal tissue is just not healthy looking at all, as well as receeding gums. I am wondering if from lyme, reflux or CD? It's beginning to scare me as I don't se many lyme people mention horrible mouth health. Thank you :)

Peggster, I have no proof, but I'm guessing the reflux has caused the problems in your mouth/gums -

Did you do the abscess protocol with DMSO or just MMS as a mouth wash. It sounds as though you didn't do it long enough - I'd go back for another round, if it were me.

How much water are you taking with your CD? Are you making it in a 32oz sports bottle and drinking 4 oz an hour with it?

I had pretty severe acid reflux, and mine was actually caused by a paraesophageal hernia. When that got fixed (surgically), the reflux stopped. Now I might have it 1x a month, but only if I do something stupid, like a big meal shortly before bed, or take something that relaxes the esophagus.

I doubt the CD is aggravating your mouth health.

Have you considered doing the parasite protocol - I know it sounds weird, but there was a testimonial on one of the Autism parasite protocol groups on FB about a woman who used it to rid herself of lymes. Just a thought.

During the night it hit me that maybe it was the reflux causing the issues with my mouth health....thank you.....I think you're right!

For the abscess, I was told to do 10/10/10 drops CD/HCL/DMSO & swab the area with a qtip for 5 days....I did 7 because it was still symptomatic. I'm not sure what to do after that (assuming it's in the protocol) but it's flaring & I feel I need to do another round. How long does one have to do this, ongoing? or just until it's not a problem? This person said it's like doing a root canal & I would be able to save the tooth & not have it extracted.

1st time using MMS I did 32 oz. water, drinking 4 oz. per hour. Then I was told to do 8 oz., drinking 1 oz. hour as it would be easier to get down 1 oz. as my drops increased. I tried to drink more water with each dose since I had had to discontinue MMS earlier because it increased reflux/bloating something fierce.

How did they figure you had a physical issue causing your reflux? My ENT dx'd me several years back seeing acid burns in my throat....I didn't know I had it as my only symptoms were raspy voice occasionally & slight raw throat in the morning. It has since gotten much, much worse, however once I moved from my "moldy" house, I've gotten off the PPI's (which I HATE taking in the 1st place). I do have to watch what I eat & not eat late as you said....it flares once in awhile but it really flared with MMS!

I have a stubborn case of candida also due to mold/lyme...have read it won't go away til lyme/mold are lessened....believe me over the years I've tried everything! Hadn't heard of the parasite protocol for lyme....will look into it for sure...thank you. I have recently started rifing & plan to add some herbals as I see how my body responds to the rife & MMS. I really want to be able to use the MMS, it really helped my abscessed tooth!

Thank you so much for your help & your generosity in helping everyone on this site....I am grateful for your help :)

Even the baby bottle protocol, which starts with 1/8 of a drop an hour, and that's done in an 8 oz bottle, ultimately adds more water when you get above a a drop an hour. It's easier to get down 1 oz, but oh, goodness, if you're doing higher doses of MMS, it would make me upchuck.

Jim Humble says 1 oz per 1 drop per serving. I'm guessing the tooth thing might have needed to actually be held against the gum, rather than just dabbed on - (saliva rinses it off pretty quickly - you might make a little "pad" (tooth sized) and soak it in the MMS and put the DMSO on it and then put it against the gum, allowing your own cheek tissue to hold it against the tooth. If it were me, I'd do it at 70% DMSO, and probably would not leave it there longer than aabout 5 minutes.

I actually went in for gastric bypass surgery and my surgeon found it during the surgery. Most docs just look for a pharmaceutical approach and try to give you something to either increase or decrease the acid (HCl) - but if it's physical, the pharmaceutical approach isn't going to cure it.

So doing 10 drops in 8 oz. of water per day was more than JH says with 1 oz. to 1 drop, but not much. Thats as far as I got before I had to quit. I want so much to be able to use it! It really tore my stomach up tho, big time.

I will try the pad for my tooth. If I use 10 drops CD/10 drops HCL, would 70% DMSO be 7 drops? Am I thinking right?

I'm so glad you were able to find a reason for your reflux & fix it. I hope to be able to somehow in the future....it's been ongoing for a few years now, although had been much better. I agree it may be what's creating my decline in mouth health, apparently not as controlled as I had thought. It is "silent" reflux. thank you, Pam :)

I should think that your formulation would work fine. Let the cds/hcl activate a full minute before you add the water and the DMSO.
