Has anyone seen this or answered it? Is it applicable to MMS? If not, why not?

Toth et al. (1990) examined the neurodevelopmental toxicity of chlorine dioxide in the postnatally exposed Long-Evans hooded rats. Groups of four male and four female pups per litter received daily gavage doses of 0 or 14 mg/kg chlorine dioxide on postnatal days 1–20. The chlorine dioxide pups weighed significantly less than controls at ages 11, 21, and 35 days. No significant alterations in cerebellum or olfactory bulb weights were observed on postnatal days 11, 21, or 35. Forebrain weights were significantly lower in the chlorine dioxide-exposed pups on postnatal days 21 and 35. This reduction in forebrain weight was accompanied by reductions in protein content on postnatal days 21 and 35 and reduced DNA content on postnatal day 35. The ratio of protein content to forebrain weight was decreased on postnatal days 11, 21, and 35; the protein content to cerebellum weight was increased on postnatal day 35.

Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine.

The one thing I can tell you is that this study has very little meaning for us. Think about the difference in weight in us and in a baby rat. Now, realize that the comparable dose per weight would be a massive amount of chlorine dioxide.

Almost anything (even salt) in massive doses will kill you. The same thing in minor doses or micro doses can heal you. People die of overdoses of asprin.

14mg/kg would be equivalent to 980 mg/day in a 70 kilo human, or 49 mg/day in a 3.5 kilo baby, for 20 days (postnatal). How does that compare to the dosages recommended here?

2. The second one from the first post I probably know how you would answer. It's not chlorine that is available from MMS, therefore irrelevant.

These are not my questions. I just pick them up and if anything sounds not obviously biased or like a clear diatribe I put them here, either to be verified or refuted. There are a lot of people out there who have wrong info and rely on misinformation, even otherwise highly educated people. I would just like to be able to set all bad reports aside if they are not true.

at 25 ppm per 4 oz of water.

25ppm is equal to 25 milligrams in ONE LITER

1 liter = 33.8 oz

33.8/4= 8.45

.025 /8.45 = .0029 per 4 oz of water

So about 3 mg per 4 oz.

Takes a hell of a lot of .0029's to make .980

(I did this twice, but was out playing music last night, so I'm a little fuzzy. Please correct if this is wrong)

Using Wikipedia as a reference for average body weights of Long-Evans rats and humans (world-wide average) the test dosage on the rats was about 29 times the basic daily CLO2 dose for humans on Protocol 101.

peri, you don't have to be so busy repeating all the disinfo agents -- Trust me.

I do not wish to repeat any disinfo agents. Segura clearly is one of those, and I ripped her for that.
However, this Toth et al report appears to deserve an answer.
In "The Master Mineral of the Third Millennium" page 36, it says:
A drop of MMS contains 6 mg of chlorine dioxide. Protocol 1000 is 3 drops an hour in half a glass of water.

1 drop = 6 mg
3 drops = 18 mg of CD an hour
10 hours, 3 drops = 180 mg of CD a day
That is some distance away from 980 mg, but not enough for comfort.

Protocols that call for a higher dosage than 3 drops will come much nearer to critical 980 mg in the Toth report. Therefore the validity and applicability of this report must be examined in more detail.

If Messrs. Humble and Kalcker go through the trouble of citing technical data to refute an obvious nuisance attacker like Segura, the ostensibly more weighty Toth report should deserve an equal if not better response.

I am looking at page 36 of Jim's 2011 ebook and I see nothing about 1 drop of MMS containing 6 mg of CLO2. Are you reading from the printed book?

It would be wisest to address these questions directly to Jim Humble rather than to the forum, if they concern you. He has done the fullest research on all this, whereas we have not. I'm sure he's aware of the studies you have mentioned.
