It is good that this paper has been produced and shows efficacy of ClO₂ as a prophylaxis against the SARS-CoV-2 virus … or at least the symptoms of COVID-19.

I do, however, disagree with the opening sentence of the abstract:

To date, there is no effective prophylactic agent to prevent COVID-19.

There are a number of substances that have proven very effective against this virus, notably

• Vitamin D
• Ivermectin
• Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine

Blood levels of vitamin D have been found to strongly correlate with better outcomes of disease, including asymptomatic infections. Used as a treatment, especially calcifediol IV it is very effective but oral D3 takes time to metabolise in the body into the useful components and is better taken routinely. Hydroxychloroquine has many studies at all early stages of disease progression including pre-exposure prophylaxis and post-exposure prophylaxis .
We could add other compounds to the list including fluvoxamine , which has been taken as post-exposure prophylaxis in some of the studies.

I agree with your statement. There must have been a reason why they included that statement.
