I found someone in the forums here say that MMS (Sodium Chlorite, not the activate MMS) would last 7 years on the shelf, more or less. Does anyone have any feedback with regard to the shelf life of CDS?

I know that it will differ if in the fridge or with other criteria (not sure what other), but that still leaves me and others wondering, roughly, how long?

1.
For example, if I make up a batch at home at the recommended 3000ppm quality and put it in my fridge, how long about would that last? days? weeks? months? Will it degrade over days weeks months?

2.
I see it sold in some locations. This begs the question from me as to how fresh it will be when it gets to me?

Thanks so much,

Hello Yunus. CDS will last a long time, but will lose CLO2 gas over time. I have tested CDS after 6 months and the CLO2 was down 1/3. After a year about 1/2. However, CDS is still effective after one year when stored in a cool, dark place.

About one year ago, I collected all the CDS test bottles I had in my fridge and poured them into a one gallon recycled HDPE jug that used to contain distilled water that I had purchased at the grocery store. That 1 gallon of CDS measured 2500ppm one year ago.

Then I gave the CDS to some friends who own a health food store. Two weeks ago they took out 8 fl oz of the remaining CDS, which by now is mostly gone & probably measures around 1000ppm, and mailed it to a fellow in another state who had pneumonia and was having a hard getting rid of it.

In three days his pneumonia was gone. The fungus on his hands he has had for the past 15 years was also gone after he had finished the 8 fl oz of CDS. He took about 1 fl oz per day.

Also, a lady with Lyme disease uses the same CDS to keep her stable, although she needs to do a proper protocol to finally get rid if it. CDS is great stuff, especially for external use.

CDS is pure CLO2 in distilled water, so there weren't any original ingredients to cause problems after one year other than loss of CLO2.

Thank you so much. Your answer brings up another question I have been trying to understand around safety of both making, storing and transporting CDS, and which you partly addressed in another post I made - you shared above about the CDS being mailed to another state, which I might guess could have been air delivery. Is there any safety concern about sending CDS in the mail?

Thanks,

Yunus, it is probably illegal to mail CDS, MMS1, NaCLO2, etc. My friends may have sent it UPS which can accommodate such chemicals. Hazmat rules would apply to most of our chemicals.
