My great aunt has both and lives in a special home for people with Dementia. She has been on Hospis for a couple years. I only see her once a year, since she lives in Las Vegas. She doesnt know who I am and is under the care of these people that run the home. Can MMS help her memory??
Possibly, based on the cause of it, but the chances of getting someone in the hospice to administer it are probably nil. Hate to be such a downer, but truly, this is a case of, if you want to see it happen, you'll have to be there to do it.
I really wanted to do some MMS with my dad, he had some fairly serious memory deficits. He called it alzheimers, based on the docs telling him that - although one doc noted in his medical records that he thought it was not alzheimers (since it did not seem to actually function that way), but a result of his yearly years (ages 20-55) of alcoholism. That made sense to me, but the other docs just called it alzheimers - which told them which drugs to prescribe. Since I was my dad's primary caregiver AND his medical POA AND his sole beneficiary under his will, and he was on a cocktail of meds (17 pills a day for COPD, CHF, high BP, etc.) - I felt it was important to follow the doctor's recommendations - call me a wimp, but if the docs killed him with their meds, I didn't want to be the one to get put in jail. (And, dad LOVED traditional medicine, in his book, turning his body over to his doctors was the most important thing. He had a real revolving door syndrome at the hospital clinic.)
