I am not sure if I am on the right track. For example: If I have an 85% solution in 1 drop, or 0.05ml and I want to dilute it to 4%To calculate the dilution(C1)(V1) = (C2)(V2), or 85% x 0.05ml = 4% x 1.06 mlSo, to create a 4% solution I have to add 1.06ml to the 0.05mlIs this correct?

The calculator shows the result of your calculation. Subtract the Stock volume from the Dilute volume to find the amount of water to combine with the stock solution. This calculation works if the stock solution's density remains the same when diluted. If it changes, then you need to add the density factor to both sides of the equation. Vol1 x Density1 x Conc%1 = Vol2 x Density2 x Conc%2

About density: I think I understand the procedure of the density calculation you wrote. How do I determine density to get numbers to plug in to the equation?

I am testing phosphoric acid (H3PO4) and its density varies a lot, depending on its concentration. Looked online and found this chart. Used the density numbers to make 5%, 10% and 15% concentrations from 85% phosphoric acid stock solution.
