I got a new bottle of MMS and Hydrochloric acid out of my fridge today which I ordered 15 months ago and mixed the drops together and it doesnt look amber. I was using an older bottle MMS and HCL but they didnt look amber either. Appreciate any help Thank you

CLO2 Offline Administrator Posts: 5560 Thank you received: 4393	Using MMS and activator that are cold from the fridge may take longer to activate. Try 60 seconds instead of 30 seconds if making MMS1.

CLO2 Offline Administrator Posts: 5560 Thank you received: 4393	You are mixing drops of MMS and HCL together in a small glass for 30 seconds and you don't smell any CLO2 gas? No added water, right? The drops are pooled together and not spread out across the bottom of the glass? Attachments:

I remember the mms1 drops were definitely amber and the smell was strong. The bottles I've got now were spares in kept in the fridge. I checked the receipt and brought them 15 months ago. So I dont think there any good:(

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
