Hi, anyone here knows about Molarity and relationship with % concentration? I found this reagent grade HCL it says 0.1 M and 3% V/V but it does not mention what concentration is this. How do you know what concentration is this? is there a formula to find concentration from M? is this ok to activate mms and cds?

CLO2 Offline Platinum Member Posts: 5393 Thank you received: 4260	I think 0.1M HCL is very low %. By the way, it is 0.3% v/v not 3% v/v. You might be able to weigh a sample to determine the %. If I was a chemist, I might be able to answer your question!

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
