I use it in water for pets and wonder how long it will last - half the day, all day, or perhaps longer?

I understand that the activated mixture doesn't last as long as the unactivated one, but does anybody have an idea about how long the latter maintains its strength?

Thank you :)

When MMS (22.4% sodium chlorite solution) is 'activated' for 30 seconds, about 10% of available CLO2 gas is released. That CLO2 gas will evaporate or outgas quickly from the water solution leaving residual MMS and some acid activator.

MMS that you put in an animal's water dish is MMS diluted in much more water. There is no CLO2 in that mix unless some acid is in the water. So, it should not be changed in any way except to be more diluted.
