jewels Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 4 Thank you received: 0	I have had the bottles for a few years, kept in cool dark cupboard. Now when i go to use them I notice the sodium chloride is cloudy and has sediment on the bottom, When mixed with activator the solution still turns yellow. Do you think it is still effective?

I think you mean sodium chloriTe. Sodium chloriDe is table salt.

Sodium chlorite at 22.4% concentration is MMS.

If it is cloudy and has sediment at the bottom of the bottle, you can filter the solution by pouring it through a brown coffee filter. Don't use white coffee filters as they have been bleached white.

Be sure to dispose of the coffee filter safely once it is saturated with NaCLO2. You could wait until it dries, then take it outside and burn it up.
