I have had nerve pain since 1985 from acute toxic phenol poisening . Hands and feet and body have diminished feeling . But hands and feet gums also would burn without even touching anything. I used dmso , but not alone. I used it with MMS . DMSO alone would not work for me . No strain of cannabis or anything else the like would either. Pain pills outta the question ! The only thing that helped my nueropathies were doing therapudic doses of Serrapeptase . I had saverly low b.p and heartbeat so I MMS tackles that too which helps . Talking an average of 36 b.p.m. with 78 over 50 something headrushing like you wouldn't believe . lol. Now for first time have normal b.p. and hypertension is way better . . Helps alot ! Hard to feed nerve ending with dirty hardly pumping blood. Nerves need oxygen . It can be done alone but I use mMS because of autonomic neurapothies and Multiple systems atrophy . Whenever my nerves start to hurt and arms and legs start reverting back to pain and can't touch things with hands or rest feet on floor without mass pain and getting cold and wont warm as they did a couple onths back up I do a 30 day treatment . In 02 I broke all my guitars , could hardly use a fork. Daughter bought me all new silverwear and light glasses for me after seing me struggle . I got the ice pick feeling touchign anything. I had to cut pancakes with a steak knife actually . Couldn't let hot water in shower touch palms because it burned my already burning hands .burned . Hands burned while laying hands donwn palms up . Burned like I took 60 grit sandpaper and sanded them. Very uncomfortable. I have to do a serrapeptase treatment every few years when nerves act up . It pays to do it daily too after that ! It helps pretty fast too . I had to buy new guitar and for the first time since contracting phenol poisening in the 85 I can turn a screwdriver better than ever. in 97 I put a barbaque together and had to use two hands to spin the screwdriver. actually . It's funny kinda. I went on to be a vested hardwood mechanic who couldn't turn a screwdriver. I would have others do that part. Didn't have to use screwdriver to often though luckily. Another thing is my ulnars needed surgury my whole adult life and my arms were actually snapping out if tried to carry soemthing . Before my last treatment they going to sleep at the slightest bend of elbo if just resting hand on lap . Now I can do srewdriver and play away again and rest hand up on chest .. To cool man . Hopefully it will help you . use therapudically though. dose at 2 -120,000 pills twice daily is all. I used natures best at vitacost . I just gave my painter friend some who was having the same problem and hes better in a couple months too . I don't know any other way to tackle nerve pain . Just changing diet wont work but helps.
