Hi. I just run out my mouthwash. Now i like to make my own. I just but CDH in the dark cabin and waiting 12 hours to finish it. I see video that says 10 ml is like 2 teaspoons. In the syringe it was like 10 teaspoons and this get me think is this correct. Syringe says 10 mL and not 10 ml. Its same think i guess.

I can order 3% hydrogen peroxide too but first i like to try cdh for mouthwash.

Now my questions are as follows:

1. CDH bottle have tight silicone cap; is this silicone cap good or bad for cdh?

2. When i made this cdh, i used plastic syringes; Is this correct tool to measure these chemicals? When to take 0,5 or 1 ml this cdh mixture then what is used for that; Plastic syringes or other tools?

3. When i gargle this cdh as a mouthwash then; what amount cdh and what amount distilled water to use? Whats the good duration to gargle? 30 seconds or 3 minutes?

4. Any other recommendations of mouthwashes?

I but the ingredients to refrigerated (+3 C) water. Are 12 hours enough to finish mixture or do i need to wait longer? I read somewhere that use room temperature water.

Now the bottle sitting in my dark cabinet.

I read somewhere that don't use silicone caps with CDH. Its discolored already (yellow).

Maybe i go and buy schweppes water bottle.

Silicone has fair resistance to CLO2 gas (not in direct contact with CDH) which is what you will have in your CDH bottle. Yes, the seal will turn yellow, but if you leave the cap exposed to sunlight, you will see the yellow color disappear.

Schweppes bottle cap seals appear to be made from Teflon. Teflon has excellent resistance to CLO2.

Twelve hours should be enough time for CDH production, unless ambient temperature is low. All ingredients should be at room temperature. You can leave it longer or measure the CLO2 content with CLO2 test strips. It should measure about 3500 ppm.

CDH recipe is 220 ml distilled water + 10 ml MMS + 10 ml 4% HCL.

Most plastic tools are fine to use for measuring MMS and activator and CDH.

Mouthwash formula: Start with 1:4 CDH to water. Time is up to you.

I bought new glass bottle that says 0.25L. When i made CDH, i realized that there is not enough space for normal cdh and i used only 7 ml of HCL 4%. Then i realized that its too full because bottle has silicone cap and then i poured that mixture a little bit off to make sure that liquid not touching that silicone cap. That 0.25L is an error of the bottle and its maybe 230 ml.

How messed up CDH this can be or is it enough to do job as a mouthwash? I don't have clo2 test strips and i like to know if there is any way that i can next time alter official recipe to fit this chd to 200 ml bottle?

Miksu, this PDF file has a nice chart made by Scott (truthquester) which will help you find the correct amounts of ingredients to add to most any size bottle to make CDH. The chart is on page 7.
