Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 1 Thank you received: 0	I'm using L ascorbic acid (synthetic vitamin C) and it is not dissolving in 4 cups of water. Should I be using plain citric acid and if so what is the difference between the two ?

CLO2 Offline Administrator Posts: 5562 Thank you received: 4393	Are you trying to make an acid solution to activate MMS? We normally use 4% HCL (preferred) or 50% citric acid. Vitamin C will neutralize CLO2 generated when MMS is activated with either of the two above acids or stomach acid. The following user(s) said Thank You: fourfingerz

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
