Adults lose about 2 liters of water each day through the normal processes of respiration, perspiration, urination, defecation. So under normal circumstances, an adult should drink about 2 liters of pure water each day simply to replace what has been lost and remain hydrated. Some beverages such as coffee and beer are diuretics, which means they cause more water loss than what they replace. For example, drinking 8 ounces of coffee may cause 10 ounces of water to be lost through urination.
MMS works by killing pathogenic microbes, and neutralizing toxic substances in the body. This creates more than the normal amount of cellular debris, which needs to be eliminated - mostly through urination and perspiration. When taking MMS, water may be diverted from the bowel to be used for flushing cellular debris out through the kidneys - which may result in constipation.
In summary, when taking MMS you need to drink all of the pure water you can - and then drink some more. If constipation persists, take magnesium citrate or magnesium hydroxide (Milk of Magnesia). Wal-mart sells magnesium citrate liquid in 10 ounce bottles for about $1.00.

Gene 51 and friends,
Took your advice about the water filter and finally got it hooked up today and running fine. I think the extra water is a big help as far as flushing out toxins and reducing the constipation. Since my well water is fair, I kind of prefer it to the steam distilled variety from Wall Mart, as far as the taste, but if you think I should be using just distilled water to drink while I'm on P1000 then I can do that too.

I make distilled water from our well water and it tastes fine. One could add a pinch of real salt to distilled water for taste and to add minerals some claim distilled water removes from our bodies.
