A search here failed to get results, and searching the web is more Allotropic solutions. The gentleman is on opiates for the pain and wonders if medical marijuana would help as it does with MS. Hello,

Well I know of three people with CMT syndrome who tried marijuana to alleviate the pain (not the medical kind, not available in my country). Results varied from mild to good relief so it is definitely worth a try.
I should add that at least two of them got the diagnosis of CMT from their neurologist, but recently discovered the CMT was induced by a previously undiagnosed Lyme disease.
As it is a bacterial infection, they added MMS to their treatment, results were slow to come but after six months, they both showed improvement.
So your acquaintance could try it, the worse that could happen is that it doesn't work.
